I like Carlisimo saying you watch your time outs and try and get the other team to use their's up. Then he said you have to challenge a call the refs got wrong, and it rewards the other team by essentially giving them an extra time out to rest their players. They do need to speed up the process. Just have the review team say what the call is, time left on the clock, etc. Most of us see it at home in one replay normally. Like the Premier league, they have the refs come over, and in less than a minute the play is reviewed. Jeez, the Euros can even do it better than us!

Maybe they could have players wait on the halfcourt line opposite of their respective bench.

This topic was on another thread but I put it on here. Have to see how this plays out should help him flop better.

He's never going to be a guy who can blow by people or dunk in traffic... maybe this helps him not run out of gas in the 2nd half of games but I also think, if he's actually lost a lot of weight, he won't be able to do what he does best... use his girth to force calls when he is the one who initiates contact.

This video is from yesterday:

That guy, athletically speaking, is not a problem.

His weaknesses are his total lack of engagement on defense and (this part is mostly opinion) it seems to me that people can't stand playing with him.

Lucky for Luka, I think the NBA's flopping rules will end up being toothless, I don't think any player in the league relies on gaming the refs as much as Luka, Harden used to be #1 but Luka took that mantle.

When Nikola Jokic lost weight, I thought it might affect his game, especially since he is a center.

Actually, to my surprise, he got better.

Maybe the same thing happens with Doncic.

New rules implemented for the 2023-24 season. I like the expanded coaches challenge.

The NBA Board of Governors today approved an in-game flopping penalty and expanded use of the coach’s challenge. Both rule changes will be implemented beginning with the 2023-24 NBA season.

Hate it gives refs the opportunity to dictate games

I like the idea the coaches get a second challenge if they get the first challenge right.

In regard to the flopping rule, the offensive player has all the advantages now. I don't see flopping as a big problem anymore.

Flopping is a huge problem if you think of it as "acting" rather than just a defender throwing himself to the floor to draw a call. Offensive players "flop" all the time and get rewarded, Luka leads the way. If the league goes after all types of flopping, that's a good thing. If they only focus on defensive flopping, it's just another joke by a league that's already more joke than serious.

I'm not talking about intentional flopping. That's should be a violation all the time. However, I don't see it as a huge problem especially by the defensive player.

The players that should be falling down are the defenders when an offensive player like Luka are allowed to lower their shoulder into the defender and back him down without a call.

If I were a defender, I'd fall under the feet of the offensive player to make a point when this happens. I see no good reason the defender has to stand up and take the punishment.

Too bad, the Suns couldn't have traded for Ty Ty Washington and have another Arizona point guard on their roster.

Per Thunder: Guard TyTy Washington Jr. has been added to the Thunder’s summer league roster.

IDK, He used his bulk to knock players backwards, and his wide size, helped space defenders from blocking his fade aways. I actually see this making his game worse. He will probably have more stamina, and gain some foot speed, but his games was all about backing people down. Skeptical until I see it on the court.

Remember all the hype around him back when he was drafted? He was supposed to be Ben Simmons before Ben Simmons became a "Socialite".

Darius Bazley signs a 1-year deal with the Nets. I feel like the Suns never saw him.
