If anyone is wondering why Bol Bol is not signed.. its cause Ish would be waived to make room but this Cam Payne and Ish for TJ is the hold up. I could not release this until today. Plus more coming.

Being told there is still back and forth between the Suns and the Pacers. The Pacers are asking for Cam, Ish and Ayton for Mcconnell, Turner and draft picks. The hold up is the draft picks the Suns want and swapping picks. The July 15th date is not a big factor unless the terms on the draft is settled before the date. This is also holding up Bol Bol from signing with the Suns. The Suns are on top of his list. If this deal with the Pacer does not get done another team can come in and take Bol Bol from them.

Gambo is on the radio shooting down any Ayton rumor, says the Suns are no longer trying to move him and that Vogel and Ayton have had a lot of talks and there is a plan to get him involved.

Seems to confirm that the Suns want McConnell but the Pacers are not biting, he thinks the Suns are looking to send Cam Payne somewhere because they are comfortable with Goodwin as the backup point guard.

He is saying that FG entire scheme is anchored around Ayton. I guess it's still possible James Jones/Ishbia could override Frank but something tells me that is not a great way to start of a tenure pulling the rug out from under your coach. Ayton is staying put outside some miraculous offer.

Might I suggest instead of trading Payne for a PG, the target should be a legit Center prospect, like a Wiseman type who could bang with Jokic. Other than Ayton I don't think we have anyone.

So I just listened to an ESPN podcast segment and one of the guys on there was questioning if the Suns will even make the playoffs. I really don't understand the level of doubt our team is recieving.

How is everyone blowing off our success against Denver with essentially just 2 guys, where we literally lost a couple games simply because nobody else could score, and acting like the additions of a Beal and Gordon and Watanabe and Bates Diop - all good 3 point shooters and more would not have won us those games.

I feel like I am in the twilight zone, nobody seems to see what is obvious to me - We Will beat the Nuggets in a playoff series if both teams are healthy - especially since they no longer have Jeff Green and Bruce Brown. That means Denver is the team with no depth, and I will take our big 4 over theirs any day.

I have heard that too on some national shows. They are downplaying our bench still. The reasoning I have heard is that even though the Suns have made some great minimum vet deals, they feel that the talent level of the bench ultimately isn't playoff success material despite getting good value for their buck.

I think some in the media still think the Suns still have last season's playoff roster.

They've not lied to me so far, If they say we're keeping Ayton maybe we are. Maybe it's as it looks and Vogel wants to work with DA.

Well, if it's ESPN, there's a good chance they don't even know what's happened in the last month.

Last year Eubanks had a really strong season defensively, he has certainly shown more aptitude on that end than Wiseman.

Wiseman is one of the few people to have benefited from the impact Covid had on the leagues. If teams had more time to evaluated him I think he would have plummeted down the draft boards. He has limited skills and zero heart/hustle, he is also made of glass.

Sports media is in a pathetic place. Guys throwing out bonkers takes and no one holds them accountable when they are wildly wrong and if they, by some miracle, end up being right they get to pretend they are clairvoyant.

Again who is Denver's bench - Chris Braun and?

We may not have a great bench - but actually I think it will be at least decent - Eric Gordon, Eubanks, Payne, Okogie

But again nobody seems to understand the value of Beal - Beal means we get to play Booker and Durant for 40 minutes a game in the playoffs and still always have two stars on the court. Denver can't do that - they only have 2.

If you listen to Blazers fans, he has trouble guarding big centers which is quite logical considering his lack of size.

To be fair, if any other contender had that bench, we’d also be saying it looked really weak. There’s ONE dependable player there who’s ever played at a high level consistently.
But again nobody seems to understand the value of Beal - Beal means we get to play Booker and Durant for 40 minutes a game in the playoffs and still always have two stars on the court.
The Beal of it all is definitely being overlooked and all the injury concerns are being focused on.

I’m more than fine with that. This team hasn’t accomplished anything and has never played together. They’re gonna have to prove it not only to the media, but more important, to themselves. Lack of media shine could provide a nice chip on their shoulder.

Yeah, that's more respect I guess, but still not enough IMO. I think we should be the favorites period.

But they aren't - Denver does have at least as weak a bench now, and nobody is saying anything about it.
