I just can't see DA being happy as 4th fiddle at best, especially if some of these new additions show they can hit 3s. You get someone like Plumlee and you can trade DA for Cap relief and/or a player on exp incl a couple 1st to restock the draft picks?
If we signed plumlee, it would make ayton somewhat expendable, but for who? At this point we need quality over quantity.

Oh yes, I like Kyle Lowry. He is still one tough player.

What would you guys think about picking up Kyle Lowry if Miami waives him?
Pass. Too old and busted.

But I do think that second unit does need one legit veteran guard to round it out. Just think Lowry is running on empty at this point.

Why couldn't PHX include another future 2nd round pick to get Morris from WAS? Missed opportunity.

Because that would have thrown the salary way out of whack. We had to be within a set amount. It was pretty close as is due to what Beal makes.
Oh, didn't realize Morris is making over $9M a year. We probably would have had to include Cam Payne in deal which I would have been for but maybe WAS would not have wanted him even though they could have just non guaranteed his contract by waiving him after trade.

Don’t think yo I can just trade a max deal like DA fro draft picks don’t salary have to line up?

I wonder if the Suns have saved a chunk of money to spend on a player beyond the veteran minimum. They do have the Saric trade exception but it requires an asset to be attached.

They have nothing but minimum deals to offer, they can't save money for someone else. They're taxed out. Yes, they have the trade exception but that's beside the point.

Agree. The trade exception is good until February but it's hard to see it being used.

We still need a banger at C of someone like Biz or maybe Robin Lopez. And if available, either Eric Gordon or Lowry for min.

I haven't heard anything about Torrey Craig. The Suns have his early bird rights. Maybe they can bring him back.

What concerns me is the Suns don't have any mid-range trade chips other than perhaps Payne.

They either have large trade pieces or veteran minimum type trade pieces.

I’m not sure it matters, if we are over the second apron - and we are, we can’t trade multiple players. What that means is we could only trade Craig for someone making less, and how is that going to make us better?

I like options. The Suns signed some pretty good players using only the minimum.

I think I like this news, cause I’m not crazy about our old unis, but they could easily screw this up.
We are really sad the turquoise are going away. I love those! I think Los Suns should be redesigned with Dia De Los Muertos theme!
