Now does this trade set the price on other trades? Is the asking price for someone like Butler now lower?

Yeah, I think it drops the bottom out of the market until the summer for most of the trades.

Utah got very little out of facilitating the trade.

The Suns went to the Finals with Ayton. How far did they get with Nurkic?

In the season before Ayton was traded, he was averaging 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 0.8 blocks. Bottom line, the trade did not fix the center position.

I think the Suns would be a better team today with Ayton and Camara than an absent Nurkic. In retrospect, if the Suns were determined to trade Ayton, they would have been better off looking for a better trade.

If you are happier with Allen, good for you.

Since the Nets are rebuilding, using draft picks was simply an easy way to measure the trade for Durant.
No we wouldn’t. Because any talent Ayton has above Nurkic would be totally offset by the problems that guy has with his dome. The Suns would be no better off. Regardless if Nurk did or didn’t fix the center position the fact of the matter it did need to be fixed.

Give me Nick Richard’s over Ayton and twice on Sunday if he keeps playing like he is.

Is Mo Bamba better than Bol Bol or Damion Lee?

I'd say he's a better fit here than Lee is and probably would see more playing time than Bol² but he couldn't really receive less.

We still have an open roster spot so no need to make cuts yet. We could bring someone in now if there was a good signing to be made. This ain't it. He might be worth a 10 day contract for a look.

Craig is actually playing really well for them in limited minutes, but they're tanking.

Hard to see why they didn't hold out until the deadline and see if anyone offers them a 2nd round pick or something... but, the Bulls are really stupid.

I sure hope they're right about not trading Podz because he continues to drive me nuts. Steph gives him a wide open 3 down 6, hesitates, finally shoots it, misses and then doesn't get back giving up a dunk to Vanderbilt.
That was about a minute after Hield didn't rotate back and gave LeBron 2 FT's.

NBA refs my god. Warriors double Vincent in the backcourt knock the ball loose, they don't cross in 8 seconds the refs don't call it Lakers get a layup and then the ref tells them that the Warriors had possession of the ball when they didn't. So then they call a makeup foul on the next play

Then Draymond shooting FT's after the makeup call is arguing with the ref and says get out of my face to the ref, who T's him up.

All because they missed the 8 second call

Ben Simmons is finalizing a contract buyout with the Brooklyn Nets to become a free agent, sources tell me and @WindhorstESPN. Simmons will meet with the Cavaliers and Clippers starting Friday as he decides his next home.
people keep paying this dude to leave - and people keep paying him to come - basketball brains are stupid
