Less GM's would fail is they stuck to a simple rule.

There are only 6 positions you draft inside the top 20.

QB, WR, OT, DT, CB, Edge, and really for me WR only just makes it in there.

You stick to that and you will be right more than wrong.

You can call it the "Reverse Keim" who drafted 3 LB's and a Guard in the top 20. He did also draft 2 QB's but I don't think one counts when the 2nd one is to replace the 1st one.

I’m conflicted with these early draft predictions. Here’s why: Cards have a new brain trust and the opportunity to pick near the top of the draft. So, do they continue to try to win this year and pick lower for next year, or lose this year and pick high. I love it when Arizona wins, but I’d sure like to have a No. 1 or No. 2 pick. Or both.

Coaches and players will continue to try to win this year, and all subsequent years, draft pick be damned.

Doesn't look like we'll get as high a pick that we'd hope for. So as of now, I'm hoping, and assuming that MHJ will be gone, for an OT, first pick and a WR with our second first round pick. And even the Georgia TE as a replacement for a WR. Both OT and WR seem deep in this draft.

It's the brave rebels vs. the evil empire in the greatest rivalry in college football!

Did you guys know UT has like eleventy trillion dollars in endowments and stuff like that? As an institution, they are stupidly and disgustingly rich. It's so gross.

Also, the Austin airport is maybe America's worst. Texas barbecue is overrated.

I'm rooting for the meteor. Wipe both these programs off the map as well as the Big 12 while it still exists. Can't wait for these teams to be Redneck Vandy in the SEC very soon. They'll be as forgotten as A&M.

A&M probably has more money than UT.
Good luck this weekend.

I know it sounds silly Ronin but losing to Texas literally ruins the season. It's pretty much the apocalypse haha.

And victory over the longhorns? mmm. mmm. MMM. Better than piping hot pizza! :)

If you held a gun to my head I'd admit they probably have the better team this year. Their Dline vs. our oline is a key match up. But absolutely anything can happen in the Red River Shootout so we'll shall see!

Are you a Lobos or Aggies (or some other team) fan?

Say hello to the in-laws for me. Hope they move in. :)
