He's got good size, presence, big time arm, and moves extremely well for a bigger QB.

It's his decision making that bothers me.
Threw too many 50/50 balls in that game.
Missed some throws with dudes wide open.
Yes, he hit a couple of guys that were also WIDE open for TD's.

I just don't see him as the #1 overall player.
At this point, not elite level QB potential either.

But don't listen to me...I loved Josh Rosen!

I didn’t even realize Maye was missing his top two WRs in that game against SC. This is all the while losing his top two WRs from last year while breaking in a new OC @Chopper0080 @SoonerLou

Staying in school is not a great option.

1. You lose out on 8-10m plus interest on overall contract dollars.
2. You risk injury
3. The worst teams pick first every year - that is going to be the same next year.

The only hope he would have is to get a "good franchise" to trade up for him.

Bottom line - his Dad isn't wrong tho.
This is less prevalent with NIL money.

Looks like Caleb is making about $2.6 in NIL money. Is that enough to really deter him from the NFL for a year?

Sure, but there are plenty of examples of QBs that used their feet to buy time and make 'unscripted' plays work.
Not consistently. The only QB who has been able to do it consistently was Russell Wilson for a couple years. But again, exception to the rule. Josh Allen has become a top QB by improving his mechanics and playing within structure.

He throws 50/50 balls because his WRs struggle to separate. A 100% translatable skill to the NFL.

Caleb feels like Deshaun Watson already made guy that people over think
But Maye was getting hyped up last season as well. It’s not like Trubisky where he just came out of absolutely no where. You don’t believe you’re overthinking him?

@DVontel What do you think about Kris Jenkins Jr? Pass rush isn't there yet IMO but I feel like there is enough to work with.

You are basing this in one game against a team that had a winning record in the SEC last year.

I always get a kick out of legacy players. An interesting one is Drew Kendall C out of Boston College. A red-shirt sophomore so it might be a little early, but he was pretty good last year, and his dad Pete was a beast in the NFL.
