Right now MHJ is a #2 WR and fully expect him to make a sizable leap next year. That being said Wilson is a #3 to me, Dortch is a gadget #4. Jones, Pascal whatever. A true slot / speed YAC guy is a must to help improve this offense.
PFF has Wilson ranked in the 70s for receivers. That’s #3 territory. A very good #3, but he’s not truly performed as well as any of the #2s.

Who's going to pay that to him? He's pretty consistently injured.
Yes Injuries the last couple of years have really hurt his numbers. It is definitely a risk with his injury history.

However Higgins:

-Is only 26 years old
-Is a big target at 6'4" 220lbs
-Only played in 11 games this season due to injury and still has 10 TDs and over 850 yards

Some team that needs WR help will pay him big money.

I think Wilson can be a below-average #2 in today's NFL and an above-average #3. I think you'd like someone shifty who can start but you want to move into the slot in 3WR sets.

Wilson is a quality boundary receiver; he just doesn't seem to bring any special traits to the table or have a special chemistry with his quarterback.
That's exactly my thought. I'd like someone shifty too, but our offense doesn't really run routes that would capitalize on that anyway. Maybe it is because we don't have the personnel, but I think that Drew would rather have a 3rd TE in there making that position obsolete in our offense anyway.

Paying the #2 receiver in a top passing offense big money is like the most obvious free agency bust red flag. This is exactly what happened with Christian Kirk and we all made fun of the Jags.

I don't know. If you had a supercharged Greg Dortch, I think Kyler would get him the ball. Kyler likes to see guys open, and that's where the shiftiness can come in.

McBride is definitely a shifty type.

I don't see it, unless they ran the same WR type screens that we pined Kliff and Rondale Moore about over and over.

I guess you could call McBride shifty.

I never said that the Cardinals should pay Higgins big money in FA. I'm saying that some team will.

Yeah but teams around the NFL aren't dumb. They've seen this happen before.

Many people were saying Tyler Boyd was gonna get the bag. I don't see the team that's going to take on that risk. Maybe the Jags do it again.

Tyler Boyd is an older version of Michael Wilson. Boyd is a high end #3, low end #2 WR. Boyd 30 is not comparable to Tee Higgins 26. Higgins can be a low end #1 if he can stay healthy.

Take a look at the playoff teams. They have two very good wr’s. We definitely have to add to this group.
MHJ needs to improve his ability to read defenses and find the soft spots. ( So does our qb).
I’ve come to believe Wilson is a #3.
We need a true #2.

Bills, Steelers, Broncos, packers and Skins are all questionable if they have 2 VERY GOOD WRs…. Jmo
