I was told by Jets beat guy that Carl Lawson missed a few games with back injury last season, but there were healthy scratches later in the year.

In addition to Carl Lawson, Cardinals also had tryout with LB Justin Hollins today. Was with Packers (4), Giants (1) and Chargers (7) last season, ending year on IR. Played 12 games with 1 sack. Career: 67 games, 7 starts, 10.5 sacks, 10 TFL, 3 FF, 16 QBH

After missing a few days of practice, Zay Jones is back making nice catches today. He’s basically only played with the second team in camp but looks really good whenever he’s on the field.

The backup QBs are also giving him a lot of practice at catching difficult balls.

Kyler went 7/11 in 11-on-11 drills today. It was MHJ's biggest day so far with three catches and a TD. Kyler also tried to hit Michael Wilson on two deep balls but didn't connect on either.

On the other side, Starling Thomas V made a few big plays. One of his best days of camp.

We talked to DC Nick Rallis after practice today and we got into B.J. Ojulari's loss a little bit. Two things jumped out to me:
- There'll be a number of different packages that will decide who's the starting OLB, most likely opposite Zaven Collins, so that other position will be fluid.
- Rallis said rookie LB Xavier Thomas has really started to "let it rip" during camp and is displaying his skillset, which is one reason Rallis wanted the Clemson product.
