Well I saw this one on TV (or at least part of it on TV).

Elmer Dessens: Hittable.

I do like the decision to start Grace and Counsell when Dessens pitches for defensive support (he needs it). I would rather have seen Counsell replace Womack instead of Williams, but I understand we had the platoon advantage this wat with the RH Brown on the mound.

LAD defense up the middle is so enviable.

Our "Angels style agressive baserunning" has cost us 7 outs and benifited us with 1 SB.

Our offense blows

Right now I'm convinced we could not break a mirror with a direct hit by a bat. Was Spring training offense a mirage or are we seeing the real Diamondbacks? Well it's only three games but somebody better step up quickly or we are going to be left in the dust.

I think the dodgers came out to prove something to us. To me they did....

Our team looked anemic out there so that didn't help....

Give props to kevin brown, but the next time we see them, we wont be rolling over.....

:D

what a way to start the year though. i hope we get things in order really quick coz the dbacks are starting to look as bad as the media has been portraying for the past few years. at least overbay finally got a hit in the second game. and mantei looks unhittable again. that's about all there is to be excited about. everything else has been awful.

A bit of hyperbole there--Koplove had an excellent outing, Curt was awesome through seven innings (which is as far as he should have gone, considering early season and the pitch count), Chad showed a good arm behind the plate, Junior showed offensive spark in game two, overall defense has been OK, and the roof opened and closed without a hitch

Still 159 games to go, and it's normal to go through roller coaster ride every season. No need to act like New York fans, who operate under the knee-jerk, schitzoid 162 separate one game season system.
