I told you doubters he could be had!!! No way were the Pats going to franchise JG.

Once again Keim & Big Red aren't aggressive in trying to find a QBOTF...get ready for the cellar peeps because the Niners just got a player at QB who will kick our asses ugh :bang::bang::bang:

Keim has made over 500 roster moves in 5 years. I’d say he’s been very proactive and reactive. Just because he didn’t make the move you wanted doesn’t mean he isn’t proactive.
They tried almost zilch to have a long term franchise QB. Zippo

When it's the most important part of an NFL team it's alarming IMO.

Some were very good moves, but we are horrible and have the oldest team in the NFL. It's all about the bottom line.

Oh... and you KNOW this means we give the 0-fer Niners their first win this season.

Because Jimmy G is going to play this weekend?? On what, 2-3 days of practice & having to learn the playbook? I doubt VERY seriously that he sees the field this week.

Doesn't mean they won't beat the Cards though. That seems VERY possible.

What do you propose we would have traded for Jimmy? Our 2nd will be a lower pick than SF, so a first??
Come on don't be that naive, he could've been had for a 2nd & a player or a lesser pick with a two.

Lynch has a plan does Keim & BA?

Keim’s Biggest pitfall has been prioritizing QBoF for sure, but at the same time, you can’t just target anyone because of name recognition. The last time we did that, we gave up a 2nd round pick and a CB1, which led us to keep looking 2 years later and with dead money on the cap.

Like Kolb, there are no guarantees that Jimmy G is a legit answer for SF.

You will NEVER find the guy if you don't try!

I would rather risk what Frisco did with a ready made QB instead of a totally unproven #1 pick who's gonna break the bank as well.

What's funny to me is dedicating all of that cap room to Jimmy G instead of drafting a rookie with a small cap number.

I bet they either draft a qb in the first or trade back and pick up a ton of draft picks to keep building depth.

Do the Cards now have the worst QB in the division when CP is healthy? We damn sure do right now! lol

I've been saying that even before the trade.

Losing games to previously defeated team is what the Cardinals do.

Yeah... they're going to be in great position to trade back and reap a fortune of picks now.

#1 picks no longer break the bank, until their 2nd contract at least. So why not go that route, vs someone like Garrapolo that will command a huge contract with very little game experience...barely more than any 1st round pick? Just doesn't make sense at all. He's going to suck rock in Ninerland and I couldn't be happier that he won't be in AZ.

There gonna have to pay him a huge amount of money if it works out good for then but history shows it won't.

All it took was a 2nd by the way? Why did the pats wait so long then, many posters here were claiming the asking price was sky high

Either Shefter is a little weasel and NE's mouthpiece or they royally screwed up not trading him during the draft when his value was higher. Good risk for the Niners as they still have another 2nd rounder. New England needs to rebuild their defense.

How Keim wasn't in on this is beyond me. Get our QB. Still have our #1 and plenty more picks. Active in FA and we could be good to go.

He would've been a free agent the day the season ends. It was the right move
