Color me confused! The thing I look for first in a QB is, "Does he want to lead?" I do not believe this guy does. You can fix the mechanics, but you can't train in passion for the game. He is not a student of the game. He has no clue on reading defenses. He doesn't see the field well and has trouble visualizing the point to throw to when leading a receiver. It would be easier to train a guy who'd never played QB.

He came into VT as a TE. So maybe there's more to this than there appears to be on the surface. He has outstanding athletic abilities, but I certainly do not see him as a future NFL QB. In any case he won't contribute next year. This pick coming behind a series of "Win Now" picks seems to make no sense. There were players on the board the could have helped. So much for stick to the board and go BPA. I'd be stunned if he had a high grade on the Cardinal board.

I think they'll work with him this offseason and if they don't see the light coming on real quickly, they'll start grooming him as our other Tight End.

After last year, BASK deserve the benefit of the doubt, but if you just looked at this draft and it's moves blind, I think a lot of people would think Rod Graves/Wiz was still captain of this ship.

A lot more interesting than any QB Whiz picked up in the later rounds, so I'm fine with the project.

Watched him for 3 years in the ACC and against Miami specifically. Beat them fairly well..... with his feet. Worst thrower of the football since Timmy Tebow. Head is on crooked, and should be playing TE, which is what he was. He's a knucklehead.

I'd be stunned if he had a high grade on the Cardinal board.

Why? Arians likes big, strong armed QBs and he was the highest rated big strong armed QB in this draft after Bortles. NFL.com has McCarron as the only QB left with a higher grade, but McCarron doesn't fit the big, strong armed mold.

It;s about time we draft a qb with some legs. Im tired of these cement-foot qbs not named Warner or Palmer. And plus im a VT fan. He could've been the best qb in VT history, but really hasn't lived up to his potential. I blame Beamer on not teaching the proper techniques to succeed as a drop-back qb in the NFL.

Outstanding pick...I forgot he was out there and I knew there was buzz on him with BA.

I love this pick, it is absolutely PERFECT. We don't need a QB now, and we don't need a QB on the bench that the fans will want in there this season, or maybe even next season. What we get is a project with HUGE upside, a massive frame that is athletic as hell and has a very pretty release and a strong arm.

I love, love, love this pick. I am very excited to see how BA and Tom Moore develop this kid. Could be our long-term starter in 2016.

Did I mention I love this pick?

If Arians and Moore can fix this kid they will have truly earned their reputations as qb gurus

10 7/8 hand size. Largest of all QB's.
118" broad jump. Longest of all QB's
35.5 Vert. Highest of all QB's.
Tallest and Heaviest of all QB's in Draft
4.61 40 yard. Fastest of all QB's.
4.18 shuttle. 2nd fastest.

But the dude has accuracy issues.

Nice to hear.

High ceiling is Cam Newton according an article referenced earlier.

I wonder if they would have made this pick if Jason Licht was still around?

1. How come all analyst they something compeltely different about his attitude?

2. If he didn't have a good grade on the Cards board they would not have drafted him.
