For comparison:

Minnesota has 11,000 tickets left per their website
Miami has sold out their game

blackout deadline at 2:30 tomorrow
Wasn't deadline suppose to be today 2:30 for the Sat playoff game?

What a shame... I feel I should just buy one even though I cannot travel when I see Whiz pleading desperately to buy tickets.

They got a 24 hr extension, as did the other wild card teams that haven't sold out yet.

I don't think we'll make the blackout deadline, but will sell out the game. I don't really care. I'll be there like always.

got mine yesterday

4 consecutive 50 dollar seats.

trust me if I had room on the credit card for more expensive seats I woulda done it.

I'll be in the nose bleeds, but the blackout thing was scaring me. Couldn't imagine having to listen to our playoff game on the radio...been a few years since I've had to listen to any of our games on the radio...thank gawd for the new stadium....

win baby...just one and a close one on the road should be enough to get us another year of sellouts. The bloackout deadline came way too close a couple of times this year.

Unreal. I bet they beat the deadline. I know a lot of people who are going and this will be their first game of the season. I can't imagine channel 12 not guaranteeing the sellout if there are 3k or less left. If not they would be idiotic.

Some big sponsor will buy the tickets if nothing else.

This game will definately be on TV

Not making excuses for the local fanbase, but...

don't discount the negative impact of this teams late season collapse.

I think the whole ticket sales process should be tweaked. I get why they do it the way they do it, but I think there has been a lot of confusion on the side of the season ticket holders when it comes to pricing. It's not like we go through this annually. There also is a large group of fans that simply don't go to games because of the sell outs and other reasons and I think that group, while they may be big fans, simply don't go see pro sports live. Convincing that group to go would make a difference. I personally feel that if I was a season ticket holder and I missed this game that the whole experience of tehseason would be rather empty. I heard one longtime fan after a game tell me weeks ago "I haven't sent in my playoffs invoice because I don't want to give the Bidwills my money if I don't have to." This guy has had season tickets for over a decade. I said in response, "It's a little too late for that buddy. You mean to tell me that you are willing to fork over money every year for season tickets but not the playoffs?" and he said yes. Startling, baffling, inconceivable, and that guy wasn't even drunk.

You know......just looked on ticketmaster.com, and it they might sell more tickets if they actually showed a listing for the game! Seriously, went to ticketmaster.com and clicked on NFL, then clicked on Arizona Cardinals....and is said that there were NO GAMES SCHEDULED! Then, went back to the front page.....clicked on the banner for NFL Playoffs.....again, NO GAMES LISTED FOR AZ CARDINALS! Ticketbastard sucks......

Thanks, I found it after doing a search for the Stadium Name. I was just making a point that if Ticketbastard's site was designed and operated a little better it might result in a few more ticket sales.

There were a few thousand tickets on Stubhub a couple of days ago and some were priced less than the regular price. I doubt there are any there now because of logistics in getting tickets delivered.

It would be cool if some players got together and bought out the rest. I'm sure Anquan has 5,600 friends and family.

Nervous times

*Those who work on the business side of the Cardinals organization are nervous as the team approaches today's blackout deadline for selling tickets.

As of yesterday afternoon, there were 5,600 tickets remaining for Saturday's playoff game against Atlanta. The NFL extended the blackout deadline 24 hours, to 2:30 today, but that's a lot of tickets to move in a 24-hour period. Channel 12 will show the game if the Cardinals beat the blackout deadline, but don't look for the television station to buy up the remaining tickets. I'm hearing that's not going to happen.

The Vikings also received an extension for their Sunday game, and they reportedly have about 10,000 tickets to move. The Chargers and Dolphins announced they have sold out.

.

Even if they get it down to 3,000 tickets or so -- thats a big check to write for the local affiliate -- between $150,000 and $250,000. The difference to Ch 12 in Phoenix between showing the game and showing Jeopardy reruns isnt worth that much.
