Also, please watch Cidade de Deus (City of God). It is a fantastic movie, very powerful and moving. One of the best I've seen...amazing. Subtitled, but I feel it is a can't miss movie.

And Rashomon is my absolute favorite Kurosawa movie...a crime told from multiple viewpoints and each telling exposes more information about the crime and what really happened. It's a brilliant film, IMO.

I'm also a bit suprised you haven't seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...my favorite Jack Nicholson movie...but since Jack's a Laker Fan, maybe that's why.

i don't know. desire and opportunity never coincided. i think that a part of it is that i feel like i would want to watch the other two again before watching that one, to make sure i remember the story well. so suddenly it becomes an almost nine hour commitment instead of just 2 or 3.
