If I am the Sixers I would be shopping Ben Simmons, either that or desperately looking for a legit shooting/ball handling guard to pair him with. He has a lot of talent but no real position, he is absolute trash running an offense in the half court.

For the moment, Book is scoring 26 ppg. Playing D. Oh and he is in the new 50-50-90 club. It won’t last but wow.

I think the resiliency of this squad is my favorite thing. The moment just never seems too big. They don’t seem to get ruffled.

I loved the kj/chambers suns bc they brought us to near-contender status.

I loved the Barkley suns because of the stars.

I loved the 7 seconds or less suns bc of how exciting they were.

I love these suns due to their grit and team play.

I hope they start getting their due. Seems like the refs called it fairly tonight.

Let’s not become a prisoner of the moment.

Baynes is a career role player with a 5.5 ppg average. He’s done a great job holding down the fort in Ayton’s absence and has pretty much exceeded his own talent level in these past 6 games. Baynes didn’t reinvent himself at the age of 33. As much as I like Baynes, I wonder if/when a regression to the mean happens during this hot stretch.
What a downer! What Baynes now means to the team isn't the same
as when an over-the-hill Shaq was brought in for scoring magic.

Baynes is a role-playing big. He has been the difference.
To advocate regression is to overlook the importance of
his making the Center position a key to our success.

Something that has never been part of the Suns DNA.

I didn't expect him to extend his two 20-point games
in a row. We have guys who can score 20. Or 40.

Baynes is a role player in a power position that we
have desperately needed.

And, y'know who will appreciate it the most?
Ayton when he returns. The pressure won't
be all on him.

Baynes will continue to be very valuable to the Suns,
no matter what the box score shows.

His stats didn't make him, along with Booker, the
reason we beat the Sixers tonight.

Baynes' team leading +/- did. When he was on the
court, we excelled.

How about this?

The previously undefeated Sixers are now 5-1.

The previous hapless Suns are now 5-2.

And our two losses were each by one point.

Plus the Sixers play in the weaker Eastern
Conference and the Suns in the stronger
Western conference.

It's been a long time since Phoenix and
Arizona have had a sports team to be
really proud of.

Of all teams, it's the Suns. And by all
indications, it is not a flash in the pan.

With a successful GM and a great Coach,
they are the real thing!

Which will enhance getting our share of
calls from the refs.

A happy cycle to look ahead to.

It started tonight vs. Philadelphia.

Our Suns have arrived!

Lol stop. Ayton is better than Baynes. Baynes is playing well but he also has the benefits of playing with guys 10x better than Ayton played with last year.

Baynes is a great role player and I love what he brings but those 3s at the end were ugly.

I don’t even know if this is real I’m in shock

Well - no he isn't. I don't think you realize how well Baynes is playing - it's legit top 10 NBA player level statistically.

I want Baynes and Ayton playing together.

After watching Simmons I have gained an appreciation for Rubio’s shooting. At least RR has the guts to take an open shot.

I don't know - the way Rubio shoots, I usually want him not taking them.

Even tonight he did not shoot well.

For all the Dario and Frank hate they played great D. Cam had the 3rd best + -. And you have EJ and other players saying how good he can be...far from 1sun saying he cant play with NBA players.

He would be far less effective if he flat out refused to shoot like Simmons does. Tonight he made 3 of 5 threes and would have to say he shot the ball well.

I'm surprised by how some people have reacted to Rubio's shooting. It wasn't a strength of his and that was clear when he was signed. Yet for some reason a lot of the people complaining about his shooting are the same that pined for Lonzo Ball. At least Rubio is an 82% FT shooter.

Yeah, Cam is going to be good.

I have no doubt it is just mental right now - his stroke is too good. Soon enough he is going to be shooting 3's at 50% and being considered a great bench player by everyone.

I know - and I know he is a net positive player. I just hate all players that consistently miss open shots. It drives me crazy.

Yeah, it is a tall task. IMO, one they should have done before he got extended. He is unquestionably talented and can impact the game in a lot of ways, but I doubt anyone is making as much money as him and as limited offensively. He kills them in the clutch, the Suns just ignored him completely.

The dude was 2-8 with all those shots at the rim! He doesn't even consider shooting despite being left wide open regularly. You just can't have that from a 40 million dollar player and your starting PG.

His stroke is beauty..I have watched lots and lots of Heels games for over 30yrs...you can tell he was going to be a good NBA player no matter his college stats.

Well at one point I did want ball but not enthusiastically - I still think his shot can improve. Ricky on the other hand is what he is at this point.

Jevon Carter plays good defense but he has gone scoreless 3 games in a row and not many assists either.

Mikal is 10th on the team in 3PA’s. He’s lost his confidence

It's hard for him to find a role. He's sorta-good at a lot of things but not above average at anything, except on-ball defense. He's too small to be a SF and too limited offensively to be a SG. Who's he going to take minutes from? Even Tyler Johnson is outplaying him.

Keeping himself affordable for later. ;)

I do hope he gets going again since it seems Jerome won't return for a couple more weeks. I hope we'll have Jerome back by the time the homestand is over. That's my own personal estimate of when I'd like to see him debut, the end of this 6 game stretch.

I loved loved loved how Booker just cooked Simmons at the end. Philly tried to put their best perimeter defender on him and Devin just abused him. Fun to watch.
