And the smart fans bring up refs as a reason for losing when a 26-33, 8th seed eastern team comes in your house and kick your ass.

1) That bad call at the end affected the outcome. FACT

2) The Suns should not have even gotten in that position in the first place. FACT

Officials affect games, especially the NBA. That is a fact, for every team.

The Suns have to be the most undisciplined team in the league. Silly fouls. Careless turnovers. This is such an amazing fall from grace. Wow. One players inception shouldn't get us this much out of our game.

I think Barbaso needs to start. Griciek/Bell can give us some punch of the bench. IMO Bell can't cut it as a full time started. He is an inconstistant shooter and an overrated defended.

Philly showed how to get it done in the clutch. The Suns panic and force things which leads into TO's.

Too little too late.

Shaq is being misused. I don't know the answer but he missed 1 shot. Get him the damn ball more! Bell is 3-13. Sooner or later you need to stop shootingregardless of Mike D's simpleton game plan. All season long the bigs haven't got the attempts. We need to play through Shaq/Amare/Diaq more.

Man. What a fall from grace. We used to put teams on their asses. Now we look scared against EVERY team. We soft and teams come in and easily exploit that.

Harden the f**K up Phoenix!

Players competing for 48 minutes affect games. This game had NOTHING to do with refs.

Still think you guys are okay without Marion ?

Admit it guys, sometimes the best moves in basketball are no moves at all. There's problems with the Suns team right now and its not offense. Its DEFENSE. Giving up over 118 pts to a team who avg's less than 96 ppg says a lot more about your defense or lack of. Turnovers too.

There are no more "gimmies" this season and the margin of error is very very very small now. You guys should be very concerned about this. Maybe retaining Marion wouldnt have resulted in a title but you sure as hell wouldnt be in this connodrum youre in now. Damn......things have soured fast for the Suns.

Bad calls are bad calls. Are you saying there weren't any and didn't affect the score?

Again, we should never have gotten into the position where a bad call DOES affect the game, so the team assumes the responsibility, but bad calls are still bad calls if they affect the final score of a game.

Lack of effort all game long. We have the talent. Just not the hustle.

hmmm....Marion sure isn't working his magic over in Miami like he did for Phoenix than right?

For every team... that is the key... so why let an average team come and put you in a situation that refs affect the outcome?????

Bell used to be a great defender, but he has become obessed with his role as a three point hoister. The bottomline is 3PAs are just more valuable to this coach than defense.

Shaq with 8 pts, 7 rebs.........and 4 turnovers at the Center position. Nash is the PG handling the ball for the team and he only had 2 more.

Yeah. Um, I agree with you there. But the refs DO affect the outcome. Whether you put all the blame on that (which is stupid) is the question. But bad calls can affect a game.

But we should NEVER have let an average team come in and put us in that situation. Agree 100%.

Even if we somehow miraculously pulled a win out in the end, I would still say that we sucked in this game to allow such a team take it to the wire.

refs obviously affects games

but still, the Suns are supposed to be a contender, technically, they shot the ball reasonably well, made 3s, made FTs. Within averages.

Against a team like the 76ers, Suns, by expectations and by statistic percentages should be in control of the game with a quarter to go. And should be holding on to a lead with 2 minutes to go, as opposed to catching up from a 15+ deficit.. this run can be attributed to the 76ers being complacent and the Suns playing to their capability.

What the difference is... as past games have shown and has been much more apparent recently..

is that the Suns simply do not play NBA level defense these days, they have one of the best offenses but a below average defense will always take away the advantage and then some.

I'm afraid, Marion's absense does take a lot away from defense... more so than expected.

Amare still doesnt play it... Shaq can only be a wall these days and not a stopper.... Bell has regressed both ends a lot.... barbos quickest non-defense playing player..... Nash more so worse in that end too...

Hill is the best defender but isnt as versatile or long as Marion nor as young.

Diaw played well before Shaq came, now back t mediocreness due to the coach being totally one dimensional....

anymore reasons as to why the Suns won't make it pass round 1? or maybe a chance to finish 6th/7th/8th...

or even miss out on the playoffs.

and for the person who said pace slows down in the playoffs... doesnt matter... teams in the west can run... they'll just raise the tempo to get shaq out... then adjust back to slow..... basically they control the tempo now (atleast 5 teams i can count) with the Suns following them.

We straight up suck right now. There's no getting around it. If D'Antoni thinks we will find success in time just doing what we're doing, our ship is sunk. We will not make the playoffs.

Something needs to fundamentally change. Shaq is doing all he needs to do. Something in the system has lost its way. Time for the powers that be to go back to the drawing board and rethink the whole approach. You would think with all the talent there, the right approach can be found.

It's not looking so good right now.

It was an embarrasing performance tonight my friends, and it doesn't get any easier.

1) the HEAT have won the past 2 of 3 games. they are much improved

2) the HEAT are still in the SHAQ mess. a team built with SHAQ in mind, so now shaq is gone, and we have all those broken pieces. give MIAMI an off-season to fix it, eh?

you don't just take the motor out of a Toyota and transplant it into any car. the parts are not compatible. so relax on the HEAT hate. HEAT are lottery bound, they aren't worried about winning in 07-08, it would be pointless.

There's a lot of problems we can see right now.

1) Their spacing still doesn't work.

2) Barbosa can't play with Shaq yet.

3) Raja's slump.

4) Shaq playing high post.

5) Perimeter defense.

6) Nash has got to be playing injured and isn't sitting out because they're trying to get Shaq acclimated.

7) Boris still has some sort of light switch that is inconsistently turning on and off.

Some of those are easy to fix, some aren't.

For a couple games, try out benching Raja and starting Boris at the 3--move GHill to the 2 and see how that works.

Its not Shaq or the trade. Its the rest of the guys. I just don't see a lot of heart and aggressiveness.

1.) D-wade county...not Marion as a factor so much.

2.) Broken pieces? Why plural...? I thought shaq was one person. You emphasized my point, it wasn't just shaq, but the heats in general.

You could take a motor out of an Camaro and put it in an RX-7.....you could put a motor in another vehicle....you are just going to have to find some complimenting parts to go with it, tweak with it and tune it....

who said I hated the heats? You're just a little heats fanboi troll that seems to try and rub crap in.

So you honestly believe had the Marion-Shaq trade not gone down, the Suns would still be in this "funk" ? Damn............i dont see it.

I dont see a Marion factored Suns team losing to a mediocre Sixers team. A team that played last night against GS vs the Suns who had two days off to prepare.

Sorry, but i have to disagree.

Kettle, meet pot. We have plenty of Suns fans that think the team is done. Don't need you to come in here with your holier-than-thou attitude because you actually have one 2 of the last 3 games.
