The Cardinal Smiles
Got to watch practice from a distance today at the Vandy practice fields - it was a closed practice (I was also studying for a bit since they were out on the field from about 11:30 to 1:45 or so). Beautiful weather today. Thus, just a few random thoughts.
Fitz was all dressed up and running around for the first part of practice. Still has a huge leg brace on. Hightower seemed to be giving pointers/encouragement in some of the RB drills (couldn't hear what he was saying). First part of practice was just a slow walk through. Then some position drills (nothing too intense - i dont think). I don't think I saw any of the QB's get a hit in the garbage can drill, but I might have just missed it. It seemed at the end they were doing some type of 7v7 drill, but that was on the far field, and I couldnt see.
Also, I had no idea about the QB change for the Chi game and didn't really look too closely at the QB's - hard to see anyway.
Also, a shout out to some members of the Cards staff who were really friendly and cool to hang out with. They were talkin about Fitz's ridiculous pink tie (that only he could pull off) and Beanie's crazy hat that Hightower was laughing about that morning. Also a shout out to Mike Bidwill, Rod Graves, Steve Keim, Ron Wolfley, and a bunch of Cards players and coaches (stars and not) for stoppin by and sayin hi after practice and on the way to the busses.
I'll post pics later (and anything else I remember), but my cell phone died and I need to charge it tonight. There's another practice tomorrow morning before their flight to chicago that I'll try and hit up.
