Corey Peters played 1/3 of the snaps on the DL last season. Jordan Phillips still played over a quarter of the defensive snaps. We've replaced these guys with no one thus far. We're probably worse with a thinner rotation.
I had totally forgotten about those. You’re right, we are somewhat worse at DL at present.

Sorry-- Queen was THIRD in DROY voting. He was first on his team in tackles tho. Again, not sure what your point is here.

You get third in DROTY by being drafted in round 1 and starting. He missed 21 tackle or a 16% missed tackle percentage. He gave up 104 passer rating and allowed 75% completions in coverage and 3 TD's. He had a PFF grade of 29.7.

Please don't say "But PFF sucks". Maybe they do. But they don't suck enough that Queen was good as a rookie and they just really messed up his grade by about 40 points.

The point is that the Ravens were serious contenders in 2020. Certainly more so than the Cardinals. Yet they didn't yank Queen out of the lineup. He played 80% of snaps. Which led you to the impression he was actually good, because he played. He wasn't.

And you think Simmons was bad because he didn't. Yet in the snaps he did play he had a 60 PFF grade. He only had an 8.5% missed tackle percentage. Half that of Queen. And while not stellar in coverage still gave up a lower passer rating that Queen.

For whatever reason we just didn't give him a shot, and then we did it again with Collins. There's no excuse for it other than bad coaching decisions.

It’s possible queen played bc there was no else on the roster superior to him rather than it being ravens wanting him to learn by trial by fire.

I still think Simmons didn’t suck, he just didn’t play nearly up to expectations. And we had pedestrian vets that vance thought he could trust more.

I'd take 9 wins and the playoffs with our schedule.

As we saw with the Niners when they come matters as much as how many.
And the Cardinals are a team that closes out seasons on hot win streaks so that plays to our advantage as well
