i thought this thread was teams that might want to trade down. not who cares about mcnabb and the eagles. vikingfan how can the owners be cheap when they gave mcnabb a $100 million contract. the eagles talk over with.

i think the steelers are going to make a move for pick 1 or 2. they want manning to run their offense. i can't remeber were i read that at.

Signing one or two guys to big deals is not enough. Look at who they have let go Barber, Douglas, Trotter etc etc meanwhile they have a ton of cap room. They hardballed Staley who was playing really well. Now they are talking about letting one or both their CBs go? You can only do that kind of stuff for so long before it catches up with you.

There are several teams lusting after Manning. The Steelers are one for sure but they are not the only one.

first of all they are the eagles. so who here really cares about what they do. first of all trotter was wanting ray lewis kind of money. at that point in time he didn't deserved that kind of money. he doesn't deserved that kind of money now. dougless is getting up there in age. we seen what kind of season he had. right along with the eagles two cb. both over 30. over 30 in this league is getting to old at those position. duce is also pushing 30. the team is getting old so the eagles are pushing for a youth movement.

which teams do you think will push for a top 5 position.

McNabb can be very inconsistent passing the ball. He has made good strides but a broken ankle in 02 and injured thumb in 03 have somewhat limited his growth. If Andy Reid has a fault it's that he gets a bit stubborn on the RB and WR situation.

The Eagles aren't cheap but do a wonderful job of managing their cap for long term success. Name another team with more wins in the past 3 seasons.

The Eagles conversation is somewhat relivent because Graves has said he is modeling his cap mgmt in the same mold as the Eagles. The Eagles do have to start keeping some of their older players for team chemistry and leadership IMHO.

The Eagles have been players in FA and will do so again. They can because they don't over pay for players like Trotter, Barber and Douglass.

My fear is that they targer a young FA CB and WR that the Cards also want.

He's a great athelete, and has the ability to make incredible plays on his own, but I think that he's shown that he doesn't really make his teammates better, and is more of a distraction to a team than an asset to it.

As evidenced by his performance against the Panthers. They suckered him on those picks and he got used. And now that he is getting beat up and injured so often, he will have to become a pocket passer, which is not his forte. Those Philly fans may just run him out of town.

Uh regarding those picks 3 were caused by the pathetic recievers they have making the wrong plays and the other one by a reciever not holding the ball. MCNAB literally willed that team into the playoffs. They had no real WRs and no real RBs on that team. By the way all 3 picks came after he has sustained serious injury.

You dont improve your team by getting rid of your PRO BOWL players you improve your team by surrounding your Pro Bowl players like McNab with other Pro Bowl players or at least great players instead of stiffs.

That team was outplayed in virtually every game the only reason they got that far was McNab and if he hadn't been cheap shotted who knows...
