The motive appears to be whatever happened at that club. The prosecution didn't dump the whole load of evidence today, we'll hear what made him so pissed over that.

BTW, this guy is stupid even by football player standards. The police are interviewing his girlfriend and, during the interview he calls her and tells her to stop talking to them. So, she does.

Understanding the gang mentality the way I do, no, there might not be much more to it than that. Speculating of course but if Hernandez is a Latin King or belongs to any gang but if his boy was seen talking to a member of a rival gang, yeah, that's all it takes.(looking at his tattoos, I don't see any Latin King markings outside of a lion but that could mean anything as the lion isn't wearing a crown).
