Exactly. Sitting around in their ivory towers throwing shade on AP, Keim, Jim Hart, and anyone else they could think to hate on. They look so ridiculous now. Some people need to learn the meaning of the phrase "hedge their bets".

Lol again... I'm one of those people and I could give a crap that I look ridiculous, ESPECIALLY if it means I'm a happy camper come Sunday.

Y'all take this board too seriously.

Pass the crow my way for this week.

One week does not mean it was still the right choice nor does it mean this will continue.

His vision on that TD run was incredible.
That, and his literal movement were the most impressive elements to me. May not have the long speed he once had, but the power was still there. Need to get our oline and Mr. Gresham to avoid the damn holding penalties. AP would have threatened 190 without those errors.

I was for the move but didn’t think he’d go HAM like he did. I’ll take a small morsel of crow.

The move he put on dude for the 11 yard run showed he can still play. His 45 yard run called back was the worst call ever. Refs are to involved in football. They need to quit throwing flags. I wish they would just legalize holding and blocks in the back.

And you know that how sir? It's a hypothetical, and so are we trusting in your proven capability of evaluating NFL-level player personnel?

Johnson had seconds with the ball before he was hit on several plays. So yeah, he wouldn't have had the same game as he did today. Might have found ways to make some plays, but no way he would have done as good.

Of course there were two better blockers our there, and that helped. But I think our entire offense, including our lineman, played harder, more inspired football because of AP being on the field with them. Our TEs and WRs were blocking ferociously today. Even with last weeks line, I still think AP goes for over 100. Just my opinion though Shaggy, because we'll never know for sure, will we sir?

Was at the game today and was incredibly impressed with Peterson! He might not have the "take it to the house" speed anymore, but he is still very quick. And better, the dude runs ANGRY! He is a beast the likes of which this franchise may never has had... Like ever! His size is immediately noticeable! Man he is a load!
What a great, great, GREAT pick up by Keim!![emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

The only guy who has every ran with such force was OJ Anderson for the Cards. This by no means says David Johnson is not a physical back, Peterson is just special and cannot wait to see DJ's legacy too :)

I was against the trade because I'm not a AP fan because of the switching and his attitude towards the Vikings as that entire situation unfolded. I didn't get to see the game yet, I'm on vaca in the OBX but have it recorded at home. Just looking at the #'s and catching some highlights and I was thrilled with his and the entire teams play in the 1st half.

How much of it was AP being AP and how much was it due to improved Oline play. I still contend that if the Oline plays decent this team can make the playoffs. It appears AP is helping the Oline which in turn allows Palmer to be a very good QB,

So far this is mighty tasty crow.

80% AP being AP. 20% improved oline...

Yes. OJ brought it for sure... but I don't think he had the quicks like AP does. As well as the lateral movement!

It's AP's ability to stop on a dime, cut and burst that made him legendary. He doesn't have quite the same burst, but his vision, cut ability and power still made him look like a force to be reckoned with. And he runs angry. Loved what I saw with him today.

Thoughts:

AP would have run for 200 if not for that nonsense away-from-the-play penalty on Brown.
Larry's knee was down. Plus he got blasted helmet to helmet.
With Aaron Rodgers going down, unless you buy into the Eagles being 5-1, the NFC can be had. Can our O get it together?

lastly, we definitely now have the two best Petersons ever to play the game, here at the same time. Our Petersons are wayyyy bigger than yours.

This crow tastes pretty good. All it needed was a little Peterson on it. Seriously though I need more than one week to believe this team is suddenly back with just one change in the offense. A 31-0 lead almost squandered and Fitzpatrick almost beats us. It may have been a different results if Winston doesn't go down. I'll reserve my euphoria for a couple more weeks. Glad we won but there are still a lot of warts on this team.

The Cardinals proved 2 things in this game we already know about them: (1) that when they want to play, they can be very good; (2) when they lose interest, they pretty much self-destruct. I agree with you 100%, cardpa. There's still no telling which Cardinals' team will show up from week to week. But, Peterson had added some buzz and that kind of buzz can push a team over the hump (or should i say "humph"?).

I had goosebumps today when the crowd was chanting AP-AP-AP! God that felt so good!:newcards:

Was at the game Mitch and it really was fantastic! Both the "AP" chants AND the "Larry" chants!
But, as you say... we just don't know which Cards team will show up from week to week. And worse, we really don't know which team will show up from one half to the next. Once again, BA and his staff were outcoached and out-maneuvered after halftime. This is a serious flaw that will likely prove fatal later in the season...

Fitzpatrick turned the game around for them! We had JW fam planned and executed. We got such a big lead we relaxed then the QB we did not gameplan for took it to us a bit mostly after Peterson was out. We badly need a CB opposite Peterson, I would start Williams over Bethel on the other side.

At this point, I'd look seriously at trading for DRC. At least kicking the tires to see what they're looking for. The spot opposite PP is just atrocious.

I said all he needs to do is make the defense respect him and it'll change everything.

I didn't see this coming but he led to Palmer's brilliance in the first half too. The defense really keyed on him quickly
