All this talk about Thomas Jones. Akili Smith. Rashaan Salaam. Got me thinking about an all-bust team.

QB - Akili Smith
- Ryan Leaf

RB - Thomas Jones
- Rashaan Salaam

WR - ?

TE -

OL -

DT - Mike Mamula

LB - Andy Katzenmeyer

DB - Tom Night

Help me out here cause this is all I came up with off the top of my head.

1998 Draft
1 Indianapolis Colts Peyton Manning QB Tennessee
2 San Diego Chargers
(from Arizona) Ryan Leaf QB Washington State
3 Arizona Cardinals
(from San Diego) Andre Wadsworth DE Florida State
4 Oakland Raiders Charles Woodson DB Michigan
5 Chicago Bears Curtis Enis RB Penn State
6 St. Louis Rams Grant Wistrom DE Nebraska
7 New Orleans Saints Kyle Turley OT San Diego St.
8 Dallas Cowboys Greg Ellis DE North Carolina

I think this was the worst draft as far as top players.
5 of the top 8 picks are no where to be seen and 3 of them are out of the NFL all together. Not sure what happened to Wistrom and Ellis, only Turley, Peyton, and Woodson are any good.

One last one Trev Alberts. The Colts had some bad luck in the early 90's and one pick stared to tunraround and the was Manning, so could that be the start to our turnaround after next years Draft.

Wasn't that WR who killed his baby's mama a #1 pick by the Panthers? Rae Carruth?

Wistrom is a very good DE with the Rams and Ellis actually has been pretty decent for Dallas although it took several years and he's not a great player by any stretch.

TE the guy Seattle moved up to draft in 2002, name slips my mind. He's a criminal and a bust.

Wistrom has done really well in St. Louis, he picked up 11 sacks in 2000 and has averaged over 8 sacks a season.

Ellis has been so so, but still picks up about 6 sacks a season.

That guy was a huge bust, and was the part of the end of Ray Rhodes in Philly. He was like 6'7 and a terrible pass rusher. All Rhodes could talk about, was how he was going to bat down a lot of passes. Rhodes was quoted saying "It's not that bad really".

I think this is the make or break year for Terrell, either he weill step up and give teh Bears a fantastic 1 2 punch, or he will be talk about all that talent that never was.

Maybe it's too early yet but what about Peter Warrick WR for Cincinnati Bengals? He's a probable bust....

My 10 year old nephew gave me a pack of football cards for my birthday a few years back...I don't collect them or anything it was just a cute gift because he knew I liked football. Anyways, I opened them up and there was an autographed Rae Carruth card in there :D

I didn't know that Larry Wilson and George Boone were in charge of their drafts too.

Blair Thomas RB
1990 2nd over all pick to the Jets-had one season of 700 yards in his second seaon and never came close to that again. Last 3 years were ith 3 different teams and did not combine for a 100 yards in all 3 together. Played 6 total season.

Guys who get injured (Katzenmoyer, Emtman) shouldn't count. How about Terry Glenn? He had one good year but for a top 5 (I believe, could be wrong) pick he has been pretty bad. Does Quincy Carter count since no one but Jerry Jones thought he was any good to begin with? The only thing I like about the Cowboys is that they have Jerry Jones making the draft picks. Couldn't happen to a better team.:D

Almost forgot Dan Wilkinson.
