We were going to compare him to Trent Williams but ran out of time during the dog days of the football season.

and my agent told me he's going to attach Will Ferrel to my next project. Believing ANYTHING ANY agent says until you see a name on the dotted line means one thing and one thing only...nothing.

I think we need to get Levi to change his name. Levi is not a good name for a LT. Here are a few suggestions.

Tiger Brown
Hoss Brown
Dirty Brown
Jumbo Brown
Dirk Brown
Conrad Brown

These are much better names for a LT.

Lomas Brown
Bad Boy LeRoy Brown
Downtown Julie Brown

Levi had a good game against Matthews, decent game against Ware and a bad game against Freeney.

What was encouraging was the run game and most of us believe Levi is very good with his run blocking. If we are using 2 & 3 TE sets a lot then that will help Levi.

Bottom line is he is not a top notch LT and it would be nice for the Cards to get one at some point.

My agent does a pretty good job of both, but I'm not naive enough to think that they don't blow a lot of smoke...to everyone.

you're right. that was worded a step too far. I guess I just don't understand people who take the word of an agent as proof positive of anything...while ignoring the simple fact that his agent didn't land him one meeting anywhere else.

Just wanted to address the running game that you mentioned. Our offense was so vanilla that game and we ran Mendy between the RG and RT almost exclusively. I have to believe that in a real game we'd run at Freeney a lot to make him hesitate on his rush. Same goes for the other edge rushers we'll face. Levi needs to get his pads into dudes in the run game to soften their speed rush. Even if it only makes them hesitate a split second that's improvement.

(Should add: obviously we ran behind the right side of our line because Coop can pull all the way across the line and work the 2nd level to the right side. But without Coop, we really need to be pounding behind Levi in my opinion when we run. To me, that's giving more help than just adding a chipping back or TE help)

sure, it rubbed me the wrong way, but my response was to K9 calling for a ban, which I didn't care about. the guy wanted to throw some dirt on me, way it goes.

but i referenced my dealing with agents because it's germane to the issue at hand, thus tried to add something to conversation based on first hand knowledge of the world, where I'm guessing most people here don't. if he wanted to share a similar experience fine...but really don't see where he needed to slam me and call me a chump.
