Man, that kid was pretty rude to his mom. I don't feel bad for him.

I do feel bad for the teams that win and get to start first in the morning, only to get to the next place and have to wait for it to open. That sucks.

He was - I did like them at first, but now they annoy me.

That is what I liked about last night - there was separation, and teams were rewarded (and Romber given) an edge for finishing the previous day so quickly.

How is it rigged? I think they are playing a great race

There is no way that they made the first flight without it being held for them - by CBS. Without the flight being held, ROMBER is stuck waiting for hours, and in the last bunch fighting to avoid elimination.

I dunno, I've seen people in prior shows board planes right when the plane was about to leave the terminal. It wasn't an international flight, so there would be no customs & they could get right through....

I think you are paranoid :)

That kid was a chump. Although his mom was pretty annoying too.

I like the fact that all teams start off the same. If you get into a bind - like a vehicle breakdown or something - but you don't finish last, you aren't doomed. It makes the show more exciting, I believe.

Well - did ya think it was rigged a little??

Agreed, the plane is held just long enough to let them on, the first train holds just long enough for all the teams in that group to make it etc.

It really did seem a bit rigged last night.

anyone see the original "Lost" show, with teams dropped off in the middle of no where & they had to race around the world to get back to the US?

They had no clues, no $$ & basically were told that the first team to the US (forgot where the finish line was) won the prize.

It was pretty cool & people were more ingenious in getting $$$ ,etc.

Next week's previews look good - Gretchen gets whacked in the face, covered with blood, and the Brothers roll their car.

Two hour show.

I KNOW!!! And if he did less biatching and moaning everytime he did a roadblock, then maybe they wouldn't have been kicked off.

Ha ha...maybe, but I got in on the conspiracy theory just before the show started. :)

Do you know what the ratings have been lately? Have they been falling enough so that the producers thought they'd have to do something to pick them up again this year? (Maybe just those two being on the show in the first place is an indicator.)

Now you've got me all intrigued. :p

Not sure on the timing - but ratings have been very good last few seasons.

Ugh, conspiracy theories...

Lots of people get on planes at the last minute...they got lucky yeah, but I doubt it was fixed...

They run a good race and don't make mistakes...others are too lacidaisical and ******** to make a great effort...like the whiney kid and his mom.

Man, he has such little respect for her...

Anyways, the real show was the first 45 minutes...I fast forwarded through the last 15 :)

FWIW there's considerable "backlash" on sites like jumptheshark.com and fan sites basically accusing CBS of fixing the show because they're going to pull a "bachelorette" and televise their wedding(rumor not claiming they are indeed going to televise it).

Rob is so funny I'm actually glad he's on the show but the sheer number of coincidences is creating a lot of "this show is fixed." Leave at 9 for a 9:30 flight 25 miles away and get there at 9:25, in a foreign country, possible yes. Find the hidden boat first try when everyone else couldn't, again possible, maybe Rob is just very good with maps. Drive around admittedly COMPLETELY lost and just miraculously stumble upon the parking place for the next stunt, sure I've been lost before and lucked into where I was going but it's just the sheer number of times this stuff is happening that's leading to the speculation.

I've always suspected that some of the non elimination stuff is rigged, they pull it out when a team that "makes for good tv" is otherwise gone.

If Rob and Amber wind up winning the show is going to be accused of fixing it right or wrong, I guarantee that.

Just wait until the first time Romber finishes last, and it is a non-elimination leg............

Enjoyed the double episode - the old lady (Gretchen) really biffed it.

Nice new twist on the non-elim leg - losing money, and ALL possessions.

Was that the first big wreck on TAR?

Rob and Amber showed their true colors - not even stopping to see if everyone was ok.
And it was funny seeing Rob get mad at Lynn and Alex for not letting them in the cab, after all the similiar crap that ROMBER did to the other teams......

I don't understand how they get plane tickets with no money. Are flights not included in their expenses?

No - flights are paid for by the Race - that is the only expense the teams do not have to cover.
