I personally listen to a local morning show (103.9 fm) and find it is much better than stern ever was.

Also....didn't stern lose his wife and how many millions in the process?

HE divorced before his sirius contact what he lost in the divorce is pennies compared to what he makes now.

Notice all the seneators voting against the merger are paid by free radio? Sirius and XM may go bankrupt but a single sat radio company will replace them (Sirius post bankruptcy) and make billions. Especially after 2008 when TV will be made available by sat radio.

You say who mentioned Imus. Name someone making an 8 share in radio today which was Sterns lowest rating. No one.

Not an alarmist just pointing out that Stern was the only person to have massive ratings on regular radio. No one on free radio today is making much money. Clear Channel has many stations up for sale. CBS has their entire radio division up for sale. There are no buyers.

1) Sanjaya wasnt in the bottom three on the previous show
2) THe night he was voted off they had a record number of votes (38 million)
3) Before the Sanjaya bandwagon AI was averaging 20 million votes

In order for him to go from no tin the bottom three to out when it was obvious the Sanjaya crowd turned out in full force was for more people that didnt like Sanjaya to not only vote but spread their votes out to every other contestant other than Sanjaya.

That smaller number represented a very small number of the 30 million plus votes launched each week on Idol.

In other words the Stern effect was only from his arse and not actually causing the Sanjasensation.
