I think Jordin and Timberlake are going home. I wanna see Jordin stay but she was really bad last night. I guess they are totalling votes from last week and this week so it should be interesting.

That being said I can't believe Phil Stacy is still in this. I thought he would be one of the first to go but the dude keeps coming through.

You are correct.

Blake - holy cow that was good. Unbelievable performance - easily the best performance of the night with Doolittle and Phil bringing up 2nd and 3rd respectively.

last night was phil's best performance since he has been on the show - that will keep him for another week at least - but he is going to have a hard time cracking the top 3 unless blake or lakisha falter next week.

This is going to be an interesting show. They are combining the votes from last weeks show with this weeks. Jordin did have the worst performance last night but I think last week will save her. It was the highest voting night and she was incredible last week. My guess is Chris is gone and then it comes down to Phil and Lakisa(sp) but anything could happen. The only one I think is safe is Doolittle.

FWIW, Jon Bon Jovi actually gave useful advice for the singers and actually seemed to care about them. Best "guest" of the season so far, IMO.

i hate bon jovi, but he was really good on the show

i think phil had the best performance last night and he's been good for the past 3 weeks - in his pocket his voice is very strong, outside his range he's horrible - it seems he's learned this from his early struggles

lakisha is a very good chorus singer when she can belt it out, kind of painful on the verses

blake had an original performance - but with that said I hated it - so ********

Blake killed last night. As long as he makes it through tonight, he will likely win based on the freshness he brings to the show. Very easy to pull votes from past contestants when you are doing something so original.

Jordan was horrible last night, but I think she'll be ok. Remember there were like 70million votes last week, and they'll probably crack out about 35mil for this week. That means the power players from last week will likely be safe since the majority of the votes will come from last week.

That being said, I think it's Chris and Lakisha that will be heading home. Phil will be around a little longer based soley on the fact that he's highlighted on Vote for the worst now that Sanjaya is gone.

Anyone surprised about Phil or Justin light getting kicked off?

Not surprised about Chris leaving.

But with Phil going I am a little surprised, for the past several shows he's been steadily getting better, to the point where I felt he was one of the stronger performers of the shows.

Lakisha is next to go in my books.

i think the final two might be melinda and blake.

lakisha goes home next week and then jordin the following week.

I agree with this. However, at the end of the day, Jordin will become the most popular of them all... Melinda is the most vocally talented and I'm sure she'll do well, but she does not possess the pop attraction and true star power as does Jordin. Jordin will be a very, very big star!
Blake will also see some success post-Idol. However, he does not have nearly enough vocal talent and certainly not enough broad-based appeal to really make it big.
I think what he did the other night with Shot to the Heart was amazing. He is very talented for sure... But, as I said, Jordin will be by far the biggest and most lasting star to come out of this crop!

The final 2 SHOULD be Melinda and Blake, Best two performers by far, Blake is the most original artist they have EVER had in the final 4. Melinda can sing but to me not that great of a performer. Blake is very marketable and could sell lots of music right now!

Blake will not make the final 2.... And if he does, he will suck. The stock songs they give the performers on the finale will kill him.

Melinda & Jordin should make the finals. That might be where it gets tricky. Jordin can win a singing contest with Melinda. She can't win an emotion contest.

Melinda should win.

Ok, I may have to vote in the finals for this chick, because if that little doolittle hobbit beats her it is a shame, but she did a great job on that song (one of my fave BG songs).

I've been rooting for Jordin the whole season but I can't really see any of these people being a "superstar", her included. For me, Jordin just stands in the same place too long while singing.
