I have a whole lot of trouble believing that JR Smith could not outjump Luke Jackson. Smith's vertical was supposed to be around 44". Even supposing that's exaggerated by 6" that still leaves him with a 38" vertical leap. I have trouble believing Jackson's vertical is anywhere near that high because, well, he's white. :)

Jackson blew everyone away with his vertical leap, which was measured as the highest of all 4 players.

I don't know where slinslin is getting his Iguodala rumor, though. Hey slinslin, how about a link or something?

I saw the same rumor. It was brought up during the Luke Jackson interview, so it was hardly part of "objective" reporting.

BTW, I really like Luke but he is not a lottery pick player. I think he will end up mid first round after all the workouts.

Telfair is a pretty good shooter for his age I thought. He is supposedly very good in the transition game something the Suns need.

Anyway here is my pick

Luke Jackson didn't have best vertical - he reached the highest point on test (he is about 3 inches taller). I was disappointed in JR Smith and both Kirk Synder losing that test though - but article mentioned Synder outplayed everyone there

I used to be a huge suns fan, now I only glance at the standings. But I will say this. If the Suns do not finally get a dominate center they will continue be worse than san antonio, lakers etc..

In the west you need a big man.

personally i think that the combo if milos, barbosa and jj will get it done in the backcourt. what this team needs is a good center. we have a couple players that can play the point and we just need to give them time. if this team can get a 20/10 center (even if it means waiting some time) that can run the court with this team, that is more important then kobe or tmac.

Really? They'll be worse than the two best teams in the league? Don't go out on too much of a limb, there.

You're still going on about this?

20/10 centers don't grow on trees. But hey, if you're willing to wait forever before we actually get someone who fits all the criteria you have, more power to you.

I'm sick of waiting.

At 10-10 center is much more reasonable. The Suns do not need a high scoring center, they already have a low post guy who can score in the 20's every night. What they need is someone who can shoot well enough to force the opponent to guard him, pass the ball, rebound and PLAY DEFENSE.

Here is the top 50 scorers. Of the guys who play center (not counting Duncan, Garnett, and J. O'Neal), Shaq is the only center scoring more than 20. Yao only scores 17.5 ppg. (BTW, Amare is not listed because he did not play enough minutes).
