Budda for Tony is not an equal exchange. Maybe in 3 years, but not this year. People dont understand how good Tony was. He was every bit as valuable as CC.

Yea, no.

I love Tony(always thought he was underrated by our fans even before his best season last year. He's the main reason why TEs stopped looking like Gronk against us these past few years) & what he did for this organization, but he is not as valuable as CC. CC alone made our defense great these past couple of years. Always taking double teams & making his teammates' jobs easier. He is what made our defense stick.

I don't think Budda will be better than Tony his rookie year, but I can easily see him being more valuable for us than Tony ever after. He has the same strengths Tony has, but can also cover slot WRs & is also a better blitzer. Not to mention that his instincts are top-tier.

I haven't seen anyone saying Budda replaces outplays TJ this year if I missed it that's crazy talk very few rookies are even ready to be on the field for half the first year.

Bottom line we can't resign everyone and unfortunately that happens more often with success

I still want him back on a one year deal

Never gonna happen! That shipped sailed once he left. His anger towards this organization is real IMO, whether it was Wiz, Snail or the Bidwills.

MJ & B-train interviewed him today & it wasnt even brought up (about a return) during their talk about him continuing his career this season. If I were a betting man I'm sure his bitterness is know to MJ or it was a subject agreed to be not discussed before hand.

You critics seem to think we're going to run the same exact defense every year. We were a losing team last year with TJ and CC.

Now it's not only us developing a different look but other teams now how to adjust with their departure, we are going to rock!

Our defense was rated best (or close to the best) in the NFL.

It was mostly our ST play plus a few inconsistencies on offense that did us in.

TJ was, no doubt, underrated, but not IMHO "best at his position". I agree with those who feel Budda for TJ leaves us a bit short, but mostly because I see Budda as more a versatile backup and heir apparent to #32 than as a replacement for TJ. (I view who will replace TJ as still an open competition).

I'm saying we can't look back. Yes I liked TJ too but he's not a Cardinal so good riddance. We are strong at Safety right now and lets change things up a bit now that we have some MLB help as well.

Versatile backup? I don't know man, I feel like that's disrespectful to Budda. They both will on the field at the same time I think, while Budda will mainly play the FS role opposed to Tyrann rarely doing it. If anything, I feel like he was the real heir apparent to Rashad Johnson.(since Swearinger wasn't a natural FS)

Professional football really is a game of inches and all the years before with Arians we won by playing with minimal mistakes in the closing seconds of a game. This team is still stacked and just as good as when we won but it is the damn special teams which totally derailed last season, along with injuries to the OL and WRs. We are just as good now as we were when we made the NFC championship game. Palmer has not regressed that much to say we would be lucky to get to the Super Bowl... it is the freaking special teams which makes up 1/3 of the game where we got our ass kicked and have the season we had, I see us winning the division because we are simply a better team than the Seahawks now by not having Cat missing kicking and Butler screwing our field position with his mediocre punts :)

I agree and to add ...the thought of CC leaving is his loss not ours and you can throw TJ in there as well.

When DWash was suspended a lot of fans thought the sky was falling but it opened things up a bit. Yes he was missed but...he gone.

Boldin was a leader in the locker room and on the field. When he caught the ball he looked for defenders to hit. He was one of the toughest players the Cardinals had. His stats were similar to Fitzgeralds for several seasons. He was one of the first great players the Cardinals drafted that began the process of turning the franchise from a bottom feeder to a Super Bowl contender.

Boldin broke his face for this team and the franchise showed no loyalty to him when his contract expired.

Is this the same Boldin who openly argued with his coaches on the sidelines during the NFC Championship game then refused to celebrate with his teammates on the field after we won? Didn't look like much of a leader to me. Instead he looked like a selfish crybaby. I lost a ton of respect for him when that happened. Oh, and we didn't let him walk. We traded him.

I 100% agree with your comments- minus the first sentence and the last 11 words of your post. Boldin was a stud and a top five Cardinal player in my book.

Cardinals special teams coach Amos Jones. The Cardinals were one of the NFL’s bigger disappointments last year at 7-8-1, but not because of their offense and defense. They were the only team to rank in the top 10 on both sides of the ball (ninth on offense, second on defense) and still miss the playoffs, and for that they can thank their dreadful special teams.

The Cardinals were dead last in net punting average, and 31st in field goal percentage. Kicker Chandler Catanzaro converted only 21 of 28 field goal tries, and missed four extra points and two game-winning field goal attempts. Their new long snapper flubbed several snaps. They allowed two blocked punts and a kickoff-return touchdown.

Overall, they ranked 31st by a wide margin in Rick Gosselin’s widely respected special teams rankings. If Jones can’t turn around the team’s third unit, the Cardinals’ coaching staff could be in deep trouble next offseason.

Amos has no right at all to employment in the NFL... If you watched "All or Nothing" you can very clearly see that BA has no stomach for people losing their jobs.. And it will be his downfall as a Head Coach.

If it wasn't for league mandated roster sizes, Arians would have a 110+ man roster every year.

As a human trait...it's very admirable, as a Head coach?..... A huge detriment.

True- one game, I can live with that.

In the most important game in franchise history... in the most important drive.

I can't. And I have to believe if he had the audacity to pull that stunt at that time, there were things behind the scenes we never even heard of.
