Is a bust. Not close to the answer at safety and can't play corner. Francisco isn't the answer either.

I had high hopes for Rolle at this position but I really don't think he can do it.

I saw AW blow a play or two today. Is he a bust as well? Rolle has been ok. Not great, but ok. I think it is a little soon to judge his FS season. Hell, he was better than Holt before he even set foot on the field.

not even close to true. he's been horrible. the only difference between holt and rolle is that holt would be in position and then blow the play, rolle is rarely even in the picture, and when he has been he's over-running plays or diving at the feet of ballcarriers. looks like we still need a safety. move rolle back to 4th string corner or cut him for cap savings.

Not sure what a pro bowl player missing a tackle or 2 has to do with Rolle doing absolutely nothing and looking real bad today in my opinion. This is a high first round pick for crying out loud.

I don't see it. Rolle has been ok out there. Francisco was on the field with both AW and Rolle. Rolle came up and made some tackles, and didn't let guys behind him.

Rolle not being seen out there is a good thing; Holt was seen out there all the time, letting people getting behind him and getting scored on, etc.

Yeah, I didnt get to see much of Rolle today, or really paying attention.. But, isnt that how its supposed to work?? You shouldnt have to try and pay attention to players... They should grab our attention by making plays and he just doesnt make enough of them... Regardless of position, if youre a playmaker, youre a playmaker. Dockett disappeared in this game as well...Did anyone noticed how Rolle tried for the tackle on the sideline but, it was Portis or Betts that made one little juke and Rolle plunged forward and completely whiffed on the tackle?? That was very Holt-esque from last year... Kinda scary and hope that maybe he just needs some more time to get adjusted. But this might go back to the Denny way of drafting and getting these guys with low IQ's... Now I personally dont know any of these guys,so who am I to judge... But, just by watching these guys at times, they just dont make smart decisions on the field most of the time. And you definitely need to have smart decision makers on the field in your secondary..

I think Rolle and company would play much better if we put a sustained rush on the QB. We have no pass rush to speak of.

The only time I noticed Rolle today was his tackle that kept Cooley from getting a touchdown. Holt got beat on passes regularly last year, I can't recall that happening to Rolle yet. I think he's been playing fine.

I'm not sure what you are judging this on. He hasn't been awesome or terrible from what I've seen.

what he said. This looks like a thread just start some bashing with no basis to it. If you want to bash someone on defense,it should be Okeafor. He should be involved in alot of plays and i never see him do anything. On offense, the guy who should be taking the most heat is Lutui.

No basis? The guy overruns plays and if he does get there just throws his body at the ball carrier instead of wrapping up. Do you ever see him helping the corner out ever. He shows up late sometimes but that is about it.

Everything from his horrible play on Gore's run to his diving at the feet of a ball carrier today looking comical in his attempt to make a tackle.

He is probably one of the better tacklers, for a DB, around. You seem to be picking 2 plays out of 3 games. He hasn't hurt the Cards at all back there. Players have bad plays every now and then. All of them do.

You asked for some justification and I gave it. He has thrown his body looking for the big hit several times. I don't see him as the answer. Hope I am wrong. Agree with you on Chike and Deuce though. I thought Chike would really help us after looking good in preseason. He looks lost out there.

The entire secondary would look good with a good pass rush. Our pass rush is simply pathetic...its very disappointing, its not like the Redskins have a great OL either.

you didn't notice him when he dove into the ground with his shoulder, completely whiffing on the ballcarrier who danced by him down the sideline?

you didn't notice him out of position on two straight big gainers?

the one positive time i DID notice him was when he stopped the ballcarrier from scoring on one play, but even then he was just throwing a shoulder to knock sellers outta bounds instead of actually tackling him.

I swear I saw him on offense today. I like that.

I also assume he'll do his best work in coverage. That's where I judge him...

but because television cameras don't give us the whole story we're speculating a lot and knowing nothing.

So far, we can't really tell how good he's doing.

I mentioned at the beginning of our season that the Front 7 has to disguise the weaknesses in our secondary. They didnt do it against Washington and we got abused

I agree. It's very difficult to claim he may be "out of position" when you don't know exactly what everyone is doing, and whether he is exactly where he's supposed to be for the play.

I haven't seen him being called out by the coaches, or in the podcasts, or by Urban. So far, he's simply playing the position, neither terribly or spectacularly. Sure, he misses some tackles. He also makes some. I haven't seen him get beat like Holt was every single game.

To me, it seems the other way around. The secondary has to disguise the weaknesses in the disappointing pass rush,

Should be, but thats not the way this particular team is constructed.

If Rolle was a 4th rd pick then sure he is doing fine. The 8th overall pick.......not acceptable.

Hell, I'm more pissed at Rod Hood today than Antrelle. The old Hood who I didn't want came to play today. P.I. calls aside, I'm just about ready to have DRC take his job.

That's three of us who agree. The coaches who spend hours analyzing film know more than any any poster. If they think he's okay, I'll buy that.

Ugh - failure to wrap and trying to make an ankle tackle with his shoulder - the coaches had better ROAST him for that!

To be fair, it was the end of the game, and I think he was trying to force him out of bounds to stop the clock. No excuse for bad tackling, but the game was already over at that point.
