Rise from the Ashes III
Teams aren't allowed to purchase their own tickets to cause a sellout. Local businesses or the city could though.
And it's pathetic that the same stadium that has sold out many times for regular season games can't sell out a playoff game. I guess Atlanta fans aren't making up the difference like most opposition's fans do.
But, I'll fork over $65 to whoever wants to get me to the game for that price.
I really only care about the Cardinals winning. Who cares about everything else.
It's a nice theory, and I'm willing to listen as soon as you explain to me how the economy is less tough in Carolina and San Diego. Those fans were front and center when tickets went on sale and there weren't two extensions to squeeze them in under the wire to avoid a blackout.Bottom line is tough times.
Damn skippy. Thank you. It's a nice theory, and I'm willing to listen as soon as you explain to me how the economy is less tough in Carolina and San Diego. My God, give it a rest. The damn thing has been quacking and waddling around infront of your eyes for 20 years. It's a damn duck!!!!!!!!!!Actually it is very easy to explain. Our economy was critically connected to the housing boom and tourism. San Diego and Carolina (north and south) were not connected to this industry to the extent that Arizona and Nevada were. San Diego also got the bigger draw with the Colts in town and will have a ton of Colts fans at their game. We won 't have the same problem with Falcons fans as they don't have any appeal here. Also the scalpers and season ticket holders who thought they would make a profit were forced to sell there tickets at cost or lower then face value as there was little market. This leads to the Cards tickets being the last to go. There was other factors such as poor play down the stretch, but bottom line people aren't spending freely right now. Economists have stated that markets such as ours are experiencing the hardest hits. As one of the many who has lost his job, I can say I wouldn't be going if my father hadn't stepped in. He said "you never know when they will make it again".

Cards fans for the most part are weak in their fandom. Not you, but most others. I would say it has a lot to do with the crap product that was made available to watch in a concentration camp that was SDS for 20 years. To continue making excuses is just sad.
The Vikings have been to 4 Super Bowls and have been to the playoffs over 20 times. Hell, I think they may have won their division 20 times. We have just won ours for the first time. Your arguement holds no water. Then how do you explain what's happening with the Vikings? To completely disregard the recession is pretty simplistic. It isn't all "weak" Arizona fans.

My point was that the Vikes are a team who is routinely in the playoffs, thus making less of a big deal to their fans. How many Viking fans in Minny do you think haven't been to a playoff game or had numerous opportunities to go to one?You are the one who said the weak fans are the reason the Cards didn't sell out and that the economy is no factor. Are Viking fans weak too, or is the economy at least partly to blame? Or do you even know what argument you are trying to make?
BTW, try to resist the urge to type in huge font. You just come across as an obnoxious a-hole.
Sorry Ian his opnion is dead on. I have attended 15 games in U of P and it can be like church in there sometimes. It is aslo Definitely louder when the roof is closed.

Yup, .Im waiting for The "Threadinator" (nidan) to terminate this thread on sight!!!!!!!!!!
It would also be cool if our fan base would stop blasting the team and support them.It would be cool if people would stop blasting our fan base the night before a playoff game.

Again for the 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 time, I understand why the fan base sucks. It is because Bidwill put a crap team on a crap field for twenty years. I am not blaming the fans for not being supportive, I was just stating that they weren't supportive. Believe it or not, I think your post just proved that you agree with me.
I'm with you brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sweet then we can agree that we disagree that we both agree and....
Wait, I confoosed.
Either way I mean no disrespect. We're both among the die-hards and bleed red right?
GO CARDINALS!

and the truth shall set you free....Darnell Docket agrees with the Cards fan from Maryland LMAO......

Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett doesn't believe the Cardinals will ever be the prom king. In fact, Dockett turned questions about Arizona's new-found popularity into a rant against the team's fans.
"I know how they are," Dockett said. "They love you one minute and hate you the next. Honestly, I don't think we have a big fan base. Anytime another team can come on the road and fill half the stadium with their fans, that ain't a good fan base.
"I think we got one of the weakest fan bases in football. ... We're the type of team where I wouldn't be surprised if (our fans) sold their tickets on eBay to Atlanta fans. That's all you got to know about our fans. They're with you on the highs but they're not with you on the lows."
