killer b's

effectrive immediatly i am no longer going to refer to ownership as the killer b's...they have done as well as i could have expected and i have a good feeling it will not stop at the coaching level....let's give them a hip hip hurray...they are living up to their end of the bargain...no??

if i get mad at them i will merely mis-spell their name.

I'm like those End of the World Christians - the Rapture doesn't happen but I STILL have faith - yes, I go through bouts of pessimism and skepticism, but an early season win gets me right back into the flock of believers.
The Messiah is nigh...

dont be sad get glad

I should be ESTATIC about the coaching changes of Whiz and Grimm but for some reason im not. I beleive they are great choices and will make a difference but having my hopes up EVERY offseason for 19 years has kinda numbed me to getting excited in the offseason this year. I am sick of being let down by the orginzation and the whole Denny Green thing really took the optimisim out of me. Can for once we have a winning season here in AZ with these new changes? or is it gonna be same ol same ol?
This is not the dallas cowboys, the washington redskins or even the steelers. We do not have a great history at anything other than having cheap ownership. However since old man Bidwill has begun to get closer and closer to the casket either he feels bad about what he has done to us real fans (not the ones that cry about not having a winning season--you've only been with us for 19 years you dont even know true pain yet) or his son has taken over completely. Crying solves nothing if you need a perrenial winner go join a patriots board. hey, i dont mean to be an @ss, god knows we need every fan we can get but c'mon you've stuck it out 19 years so you should be used to getting exited over the offseason every year. The draft is our super bowl

WOOO EEE! Thats some stong stuff!

I wouldn't say I'm numb, but I am cautiously optimistic. I wasn't super excited when Whis got hired, but I came around. Seeing Grimm added to the staff made my day. Only on the basis that these two are familiar with each other, and that Whis has the ability to bring in people who he can trust and who carry some weight. I am worried that problems with the team stem from positions deeper within the organization, but the idea that the ownership pulled the trigger rather than waiting and possibly losing out, makes me happy. Gonna be fun watching the combines, mocks and draft. FA is also going to be fun. Good times.

Not numb to the changes at all. Although the Chicago game left me in a black mood for weeks, I still believed in the team -- just didn't believe in the coach. I think, finally, we have the right coaching staff. Barring a rash of injuries, I think 2007 is gonna be THE year.

Well, I have just been through a few years of disappointment, not decades like some of you guys, but there seem to be some significant things different for 2007:

Heisman Trophy winner QB with Super Bowl winner backup
Two Pro-Bowl wide receivers
Durable running back capable of 100 yard game every week
New OL coach with four Super Bowl rings
Easiest schedule in the league
Weak division

And the best new is: The Bidwills have discovered their wallet and aren't afraid to open it!!

I was sad to see, in this morning's paper, that our current OL coach was let go.

I quit believing in the coach in 2005 and the team last year.

They just aren't any good. Otherwise they wouldn't have been embarrased two years in a row by the worst team in the NFL. Texans (30-19) in 2005 and Raiders (22-9) in 2006.

Two years in a row they found imaginative ways to blow a chance to beat the Rams in the last seconds at home.

They blew a 16 point 4th quarter lead against the worst team in the NFL to lose 31-28 in 2004.

They had one of the worst teams in NFL history in 2003.
They finished dead last two years in a row in rushing yards per attempt.
The rookie phenom QB keeps hurting his shoulder.
They hold the dubious record of setting the most dubious records in one season.
They are a disaster on Monday Night Football.

Twin liquors has Cardinal Kool Aid on sale for 6.99 a six pack. I Think I need to drive down and get some.

As awful as the Monday Night Meltdown was (and it was horrendous), it was also one of the highest rated and entertaining games in a long while. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cards get a prime time game next season. Hopefullly with a better ending.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
Your conversion to the darkside has now been complete. Welcome.

Im not Darkside and never will be. If you have ever met me or know me im one of the most optomistic Cards fans out there, all im saying is im not going to build myself up this offseason like I have so many other just to be so pissed off at games where I actually get into fights cause we are losing cause I was assured (in my own mind) we would win this year. Hell u are talking to someone that has bet for the Cards to win the Superbowl in Vegas from 1999-2004

Do you always have to bring religion into your football posts? I get it, you dont believe in Christ. Good for you. I dont post in the Religion section of this board for a reason. .

First of all Its Bidwill. Second of all Im not crying, Have you sweated your balls off for 15 years in a college stadium? Have you brawled till your knuckles are raw because of a football team that doesnt even know that you are out there taking critisism for them everyday? As you quoted "go join the Pats board cause we need every fan we can get"? Obviously you dont know me or have not met me so I will just shrug off your comments just like any other person that cares to talk about things they dont know **** about. BTW welcome to the board newbie.

Cautiously optimistic is the best way I can describe my feelings. I, for one, have believed the front office has been changing for the last 3 years. They have changed the way they do business with contract extensions, drafted players contracts, free agents, new logo and new stadium.
Ten years ago, heck 5 years ago Dennis Green would still be our head coach.

The reason for my caution is not because I'm worried management will "get in the way" ( whatever that means), but more or less the bad luck this franchise has had for 50 years that went side by side with the total ineptitude of the front office. Well management has changed but we need lady luck to start shining our way a little now.

Don Coryell was asked if he thought his team was lucky after a few close wins. His answer? "I'd rather be lucky than good. Good doesn't always win, lucky does".

i wouldn't even call the cardinals draft a superbowl. i'm still waiting for some these players to make big contribution. nothing yet from them. exept for a few. i am ready for a winning season. it seams like every 10 years the cardinals have a winning season. free agentcy and the draft is looking promising. i cant wait for the free agentcy to begin.

I'm not optimistic on free agency this year as its a weak class and some many teams have lots of money to spend under the cap. If we can get 3 or 4solid but not spetacular players I will be happy. We also need to keep L. Davis as he is the best OT in free agency. Many threads already on that but we can't take a step backwards and have a hole to fill.
