Looking at a 2015-2016 type season if Alkins and Trier don't come back. Duval or McCoy look like long shots. Scary times. Miller needs to bust his ass

Comanche is the baffling one to me, if he's really thinking go pro or transfer because he doesn't want to not start again I just don't get it. I get he doesn't like school but it's not like he's a physics student, he can easily skate by another year, go up against Ayton every day in practice, and come out next year with a much better shot.

I watched the Santa Cruz Warriors OKC Blue game the other night, I don't think he makes either roster. I'm sure he could probably make a D League roster but not 100% guaranteed he would. So he either is a bench player in the D league or overseas somewhere and he's probably not getting a big overseas contract.

One more year I think his options are better.

Trier confirms he's coming back won't test waters.

This probably means Bowen is not coming to AZ but they were similar players anyway and you side with experience. If Miller can either land transfer Cam Johnson or can get Rawle back they'll steamroll the PAC next year.

Trier is a legit NPOY candidate now. This pretty much puts us out of the running for Bowen, but it's troublesome to see a 5* guy who doesn't want to compete for playing time wait this long and settle for a school like Creighton.

UCLA and Oregon reportedly now involved with Cam Johnson. It would seem unlikely for UA if Alkins comes back. Oregon and UCLA much more immediate PT available. Saw him play once, good shooter, immediately eligible, 2 years so interesting but UCLA has trouble getting grad transfers in so Oregon would seem more likely. Visited illinois but the feeling is he wants to "upgrade" and Arizona, Oregon and UCLA make more sense in that regard.

Johnson's dad played with Miller in college. Maybe it gets them a foot further in the door. He was also coached by Calipari as well.

He'd be a big pickup for anyone.

Considering UA doesnt really have a SF, Johnson would see plenty of time.

Yeah I googled it, Miller played 2 years with him and Calipari coached the dad one year(assistant coached).

I haven't actually counted scholarships for UA but it would seem if either Comanche or Alkins left, they have a ride for Johnson or Bowen but not both?

USC is suddenly looking pretty interesting with Metu coming back. it still looks like Boatwright might leave but if Stewart comes back they could be right there with UA as favorites next year.

Duke transfer Derryck Thornton is also coming in. If Rawle/Chance stay in the draft and Cam Johnson goes elsewhere SC might be the favorites.

Someone on USC hoops is claiming Boatwright is staying at SC, they have very little size beyond Metu, Rakocevic was mediocre, they have a freshman big coming in no idea how good he is. So in that sense Boatwright is huge if he comes back. But he's one of those shoot you in shoot you out kind of guys when he's not making shots he tends to not play as hard.

But yeah they could be really good. I somehow get the idea Enfield will find a way to mess it up. Plus they have the same issue Arizona might have with Trier and Alkins and UCLA could have with Holiday, kid that wants to go but comes back, sometimes it's great, sometimes the kid is more interested in auditioning for scouts than playing with a team. USC could have several of those types with Boatwright, Stewart and Metu all in that wanted to go but might stay.

Trier's coming back? I'm stunned and elated. Looking forward to next season. That's a massive piece of the puzzle to build around.

Yes but it sounds like Rawle is done at UA.

I really hate the one & done at times like this. Comanche's only shot at getting drafted is coming back and proving he can rebound and play D.

So if Alkins bolts does that help with Bowen or is he really considering Creighton?

Looks like Creighton. Dude is so averse to competition, it's like we're not losing a whole lot. It only hurts because Alkins is foolishly leading towards staying in the draft.

Alkins loss hurts. I thought he could make himself a superstar with another year. Maybe become a top 5-10 pick in next year's draft.

Need to get Cam Johnson or Akot reclassifies. Otherwise it's Ira Lee at the 3 mixed in there with Trier/Randolph. If Comanche stays in the draft Pinder will get significant minutes. Might even see PJC and Barcello playing together.

Not the packline personal Miller invisioned.

He was my favorite kid on UA last year plays hard and tough kid. Not sure about 5-10 pick though not big enough to be a 3 and not sure he's quick enough or a good enough shooter to be a 2.

My guess is Miller gets cam Johnson now. He played with Johnsons dad at Pitt so has a connection.

You gotta love USC. Apparently Elijah Stewart fully intended to declare for the draft as has been widely reported for weeks, but completely forgot to submit the paperwork to the NBA, so he's back at USC because he missed the deadline to declare.

McCoy to UNLV over Oregon.

Unless Oregon makes a late run at some recruits or gets transfers of consequence, they're a fringe tournament team at best

They got Wooten who's good but he's a bit smaller, more like a Jordan Bell but not right away. McCoy is not very good on offense but he's bigger and can rebound and block shots.

UNLV has been getting hype for awhile on him, Menzies can recruit and he's got friends on the team, but I think the general feeling is that recruitment went "askew" much like the Zimmerman one did. I thought he was going to Oregon and I'm sure they did too. Bigby Williams may not transfer now that was apparently the reason he was going to leave, thought McCoy was coming in.
