At 6’3 300 pounds and a consistent drinker he probably would not have blown a very high BAC after two beers over time. But everyone that gets caught in a DUI only has just two beers.

FWIW, I was out with my Jax buddy, ironically having a couple beers, on Saturday evening a couple hours after Keim news broke. He hadn't heard about until I told him. His first response was, "I'd get fired".

On the football side of things, he said, without a doubt, Rosen was the best passing prospect in the draft. All his issues were being a douche off the field and that his teammates and coaches didn't like him.

That's really nothing we haven't heard before about Rosen and I don't think it will be an issue in the NFL where he isn't the only guy with money.

On the same token, every DUI report the officer claims to smell a strong smell of alcohol and that the suspect has bloodshot watery eyes. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

The whole DUI stop is a big game being played by a government trying to make a buck and an idiot who got caught doing something dumb.

Bottom line: don't drink and drive.

That's not just fans, it's today's society. Everyone is outraged or offended about something and not happy until somebody loses their livelihood. It won't be enough for Keim to pay the price the legal system determines, he must be fired or some people won't be happy.

I don't have a problem with Keim. He drove after drinking, got caught, and will pay his fine/sentence. Why is that not enough for people?

I'll be honest. I play golf 3-4 times a week, usually sit around and have 2-3 beers afterward, and then drive home. With no food and 4 hours on the course, I'd bet, if pulled over, I'd be legally over the limit. Does that make me a scourge on society and call for total outrage?

Bidwill stood behind Abraham, Massie, and attempted to do so with Floyd and D Wash when they had their issues, so this isn't accurate. In fact, this organization has proven that it'll give people a second chance to redeem themselves.

Let us not forget that this is the same organization that stood behind Fitz when he had his legal run-in when he was accused of domestic violence.

Every cop gives those exact answers on every DUI...it's nothing of note. Friend is a DUI attorney...we talked about this...he said every cop has the exact same answer for those questions....they are standard stock answers they have to give by the police dept. They aren't actual answers by the person.
He stated in cases where police had a .08 they have the same answer as someone who had a 2.0 and higher....it's standard police talk. And to the judge and jury out there who say 'well maybe they're all right...you've yet to meet the cops.
Added: Less not judge a man ...I'm sure you got a few skeletons in your closet...there's just not a message board to judge you. As the saying goes...when you point your finger at someone 3 others are pointing back at you.

Yes i have some skeletons in my closet, but at 42 i learnt about my mistakes and if i decide to drink i get home with pubblic transports or taxi

No, but I’ll say this with conviction - in each of those instances if you are even the slightest bit physically or mentally impaired you’re a terrible person for taking even the slightest chance of your recklessness potentially hurting or killing someone. I hope you don’t for their sake.

He's worried about someone's livelihood. The 10,000+ people killed last year by impaired drivers wish someone had thought of THEIR livelihood.


And for the record, circumstances will tell what me full reaction to this is - first time, etc. You can be upset at a drunk driver without crucifying them.

I would say that someone that drinks frequently can more than likely drink 2-3 beers & be safer than someone on their cell phone. I would much rather prefer riding with someone after 2-3 beers as to someone talking on their cell or constantly glancing at it.

You're being way over the top. Yes, this is a bad thing, however, he has no history of this whereas Michael Floyd had lots of history and was given a chance. you're asking for zero tolerance ...chill out.

The courts no longer consider "but I've never done this before" as a mitigating circumstance. Data shows people who get arrested for any kind of DWI or DUI have driven drunk at least 10 times before. So please don't break out with this platitude. The various municipal courts have formal punishments based on the BAC. Attorneys know this and practice within those guidelines.
