I'm guessing they agreed to plea guilty after consulting the DA and the NFL about potential punishment. I bet he get's 4-8 games suspended in the NFL and some sort of a suspended sentence and probation by the DA.

Do you actually want to bet on this or is this a figure of speech?

The NFL lets the 1st positive test slide I believe. The 2nd gets punishment or put into the program

1) drugs
2) drugs
3) assault

I'm sure that's 3 bad marks against his NFL name

That's not how it works see the tweet above

I'm betting 1 game no more than 2...

Drug issue has no bearing!

So his lady person/baby mama wasn't "just making things up?"

You of all people should know that a guilty plea really don't mean a whole helluva lot in the criminal justice system.

I hope the O is ready to roll day one of the season and that we open with a cushy schedule because with a likely suspension, no HB and in essence a rookie taking over for Dansby, this D is likely going to struggle coming out of the gate.

If he is suspended and our D struggles early I can just hear Dansby attribute the result to his departure with no consideration for D Wash's absence.

This makes me sick for 2 reasons:

1. Dwash is a mess of a human being and screwing up my football team.
2. I DON'T FEEL LIKE CHEERING FOR A GUY THAT BEATS WOMEN!!!

Amen. If this was a 49's player this whole thread would be about how disgusting the guy is instead of hoping he only misses a game.

I'm in the same boat man. Makes it hard for me to root for the guy. I don't really have an issue with him smoking pot though, I admit. I do have an issue with his assault. Its bad enough when a "normal" dude overpowers a weaker female, but I really become bothered when an exceptional athlete, with superior size and speed, uses that to intimidate and beat someone much weaker than him.

A lot of us have lost our temper with our wives or girlfriend, but to lack the character to keep your hands off a female is beyond excusable. That's my own personal feeling and I don't expect everyone to agree. I'm sure some will question her character or the way she handled it but the facts are what they are.

There's no way he pled without a deal in place that does not include prison.

exactly? we know he admitted to the law that he beat the woman. what more do we need to know?

bottom line, there's more evidence of guilt here with an admission of it, then evidence he's innocent, right?

bottom line for me is he's a two time offender for drugs and has now had to admit to the law that he was guilt in some kind of domestic abuse. if he was in any other uniform you'd be slamming his ass and rightfully so.

sucks...he's a great player on the field, but apparently a complete knucklehead off it.

What D-Dogg said .

That is SUCH an irresponsible piece of writing, and likely an even more irresponsible piece of information being given by the court. 2 years is the AGGRAVATED MAXIMUM for a class 6 felony whether its a designated or undesignated felony.

It is absolutely ridiculous to even print that. No one gets the agg max until they have a rap sheet the size of Texas. It really pisses me off that would even make the paper.

He is getting probation, period. If he was getting prison time he would have been locked up in county per state law pending sentencing.
