I don't mind heading into the draft with that group. I hope we don't exit the draft with it being the same.
With Hudson at C and Beachum at RT, there should be options in round 1 and 2 that would qualify. It is actually a pretty good spot to add a young player which is why Jones lack of ability to seize it is concerning to me.Is there a plug-and-play RG likely available at 23?
Justin Murray is in the mix at both guard spots.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Kenyon Green, TAMIs there a plug-and-play RG likely available at 23?
Absolutely no thanks on Penning.Kenyon Green, TAM
Zion Johnson, BC
Trevor Penning, UNI
all three come in an upgrade the slot
Green and Penning have the upside of being able to man tackle in a pinch
Murray needs to push at RG and Jones at RT. The Josh Jones at OG experiment should be over. He's either a RT that can push Beachem or he's a bust.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Because players projected at interior offensive line positions almost always fall that far, due to their value respective to other positions? If they are all "plug and play' why are they still available at #23 given the premium on good O-line ?
Exactly.. Quentin Nelson is the only interior lineman I can recall off the top of my head selected in the top 15 picks of the draft in recent memoryBecause players projected at interior offensive line positions almost always fall that far, due to their value respective to other positions?
We did draft Johnathan Cooper at what 7, not too long ago. Says more about Keim than Cooper at this point.Exactly.. Quentin Nelson is the only interior lineman I can recall off the top of my head selected in the top 15 picks of the draft in recent memory
Chance Warmack was also drafted high in that class. We did draft Johnathan Cooper at what 7, not too long ago. Says more about Keim than Cooper at this point.
that draft was bad at the top endChance Warmack was also drafted high in that class.
I would take him in round 2.Absolutely no thanks on Penning.
There are several factors to get into with this.If they are all "plug and play' why are they still available at #23 given the premium on good O-line ?
