The Panthers would never have Kyler Murray because most of their existence they have been one of the most boring teams.

They were boring with freaking Cam Newton.

Where does this stuff come from?
@bookies on Twitter wrote something up and these guys ran with it. I must say, the comments on the tweet are pretty funny. Panthers fans basically offering up 6 picks, Darnold, plus more to get Murray...lol

I don't think he'll do anything else until after the draft. It's too early to judge how he's doing now as there's still work to be done & I'm sure he knows it.
I’ll never understand this perspective. One can always take the current state of affairs and judge them according to the specific facts at hand. Should no one comment on the roster until literally opening day because changes can be made? Maybe that’s too early because trades can be made until the deadline. Maybe we shouldn’t comment until the end of the season because we don’t know how anything will play out until then?

And yes, I’m purposefully being over the top to accentuate the point that it’s reasonable to discuss where things lie at any given point in time. In fact, I think that’s more reasonable than stating “we don’t know what will happen yet” bc the former is commentary based on fact whereas the latter is based on guesswork, hope, and often unrealistic and unrealized expectation.

So sensitive. Thats not a pot shot, its defining your post. not you, not your personality, not your viewpoints. Your post.

I don't see things working out well, that's for sure. But, in a nutshell. And please, keep in mind, that as an example, being ok with letting CJ go doesnt equate to being ok with the situation now that he's gone. But I can still think it better he be gone now, even though Im concerned the hole hasnt been filled. Does that make sense? My individual thoughts do not have to be tied into the overall view I have of the team. I know I know, Im a wishy washy guy. Here we go.

Keim. Extension was a travesty. He's done many good things for this franchise. Hes done a ton of crap things as well. Felt like it was time to try someone new.
VJ. My eyes say his defense sucks. Cant take advantage of young gifted athletic players because his system is apparently too difficult. Would have loved to see him go. Bill Davis at the very effin least.
Kingsbury. I still believe in him to a degree. Id imagine after this coming season, if we continue to see the same results, my tune will change.
Murray. Immature kid with all the talent in the world and a knucklehead agent who completely mishandled his situation. His behavior is bothersome, but he is still leaps and bounds better than anything we have seen at the position since I became a fan, and I'm ready to ride or die with him.
CJ. Loved him, time to go. no issues with taking a 5th comp pick for him. We've seen that model work for successful franchises for years. Lets give it a run.
Kirk. A real effing conundrum. We need his production in the WR room, but we definitely don't need his boneheaded drops, and his inability to play outside against teams 1 or 2 CBs. Add in the money? Later!
Edmunds? Whatever. RBs come and go. Good luck. Not worried about losing his production, because we all know he was incapable of carrying the load himself. He gets 6 mil a year? Conner gets 7? WE couldnt do both, so I have to assume the plan is to see if Eno can step up. Heres hoping.
Lack of FA signings? This board steadfastly argues regularly that you cannot build a team thru FA, bad teams overpay in FA because they have to. All that. Then we dont do those things and we suck for not being aggresive. I dont know what to think. Ill leave that schmeg for the guys who get paid to to do this. I am a fan, not super knowledgeable, and therefore don't feel comfortable saying my thoughts or opinions hold any water of any kind. Cause they don't. Im just going to lay back, keep being a wise ass (apologies in advance) and hope for the best. I will not be losing any sleep over it, I can promise you that. Its just football.
This might be the most honest and self aware post I’ve ever seen on ASFN.

Kenny Golladay averaged over 70 YPG in Detroit. Had 37.2 per game last year in New York.

That whole franchise is a talent destroyer.

We made Reddick look like trash for 3 years. How many players have we had that were poor here then went on to be very good elsewhere? Happened last year with Devondre Campbell.
I think I’ve seen you make the Reddick claim a few times now. It doesn’t really hold water because we played him outta position for the most part. Did the giants play will hernandez at TE?

He is past his prime, oft injured and definitely not a player the Cards should sign. Just kind of having fun this morning, the board is dark and full of terrors lately :)
“He’s a HOFer, look at his seasons from four years ago, etc, etc” posts in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . . ;)
