Maybe only a participation trophy. But they certainly didn’t fold up like a cheap tent because of injuries. That Lombardi Trophy looks great there in Santa Clara! Oh wait...
I’d like his additionxc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
I would be very happy with this.I’d like his addition
He's a nice dual threat...Caught 47 for 452 last year.I’d like his addition

See Brit and Quebec?
He would be a good signing at a decent price.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
I wasn't terribly worried about the RB position. I'd like this signing. Until and unless we patch some major holes, though...I see that if you're patient and wait then the signings will come
(hopefully)
I was because if Conner were to go Down we’d suddenly be down to Eno and Ward. Neither could crack the line up when Edmonds got hurt and then when Conner went down.I wasn't terribly worried about the RB position. I'd like this signing. Until and unless we patch some major holes, though...
LOL the Niners were healthy down the stretch. Most of that AGL was accrued early and mid season. Nice try but that argument is hogwash.I dunno. Baltimore got pretty run over by injuries, and they were still in 1st place in the AFC on December 1. IMO injuries were a major contributor to Kyle Shanahan's record as HC, which @Krangodnzr was hammering on though essentially the middle of last season.
Sorry, the whole point of AGL is to take into account the value of the players who are hurt.
And you know as well as I do that winning the Super Bowl isn't the sole measure of a team's success in a given season. The 49ers won two playoff games and were in a position to make the Super Bowl with worse injury luck than we had.
That's fair. You can't be surprised when oft-injured players are injured. That's one of the reasons that people depending on Rondale Moore to carry a heavier load in 2022 are so hilarious. He couldn't handle the load of a gadget player without getting injured his rookie season.
When he was needed most, he was on the sideline nursing some soft-tissue injury and giving up snaps to Antoine Wesley.
Both teams have much better depth thats why they overcome injuriesLOL the Niners were healthy down the stretch. Most of that AGL was accrued early and mid season. Nice try but that argument is hogwash.
Context matters. The Niners had their whole contingency of stars healthy for the playoffs.

Okay, so it's not only WHO gets hurt, it's WHEN they get hurt that's important. Got it.LOL the Niners were healthy down the stretch. Most of that AGL was accrued early and mid season. Nice try but that argument is hogwash.

Javon Kinlaw didn't really hurt them. Dude was straight trash before his injury. Raheem Mostert? Seriously?!? McGlinchey is a nice player.2021 San Francisco 49ers Injuries | Pro-Football-Reference.com

That's a lot of red. Javon Kinlaw, Mike McGlinchey, Raheem Mostert, Sanu... Lost George Kittle for one fewer game than we lost Hopkins.
Yep. Steady QB play and a good running game keep things closeIt's a wonder they even made the playoffs, huh?
Exactly.the "when" people are injured matters. Having your best players healthy for the playoffs matters
Kyler Murray's late season nosedive certainly doomed the team.that said, i am not sure Hopkins being healthy would have resulted in a deep playoff run -- that wouldnt have solved the issue of the o-line and entire defense regressing terribly over the last 6 weeks of the season
For a litany of reasons, the Cardinals weren't good at the end of the season.maybe they score enough to beat Seattle in the final week -- and get by a low scoring SF team in round 1 (hardly a certainty), but after that......
Okay, so it's not only WHO gets hurt, it's WHEN they get hurt that's important. Got it.
