Can't believe it's a sweep especially today with top 3 hitters having the day off. Nice win!!!

Jesus... Sherfy/Bradley the future set up/closer?
I was thinking the same thing after Sherfy struck out the side in the 8th leaving two on base. Then again when he calmly retired the side in order in the 9th.

Good to see Sherfy (who was a closer in the Minors) get the save, which he earned with two on base, one at bat and the potential tying run on deck.

Ya never know. Sterfy and Bradley might just be our 8-9 of the future.

Just like Fernando, who at age 40 is larger than life, so is Bradley. I hope the D-backs convince him to step up to closer next season rather than compete for a starting spot.

He's made some kind of adjustment b/c prior to this season his control was awful. So far in 53 IP in AAA/MLB this season he's struck out 64 and walked 10.

Dont know what to say about these guys.

It's been an up and down season and I think we all had hope, but there were points last month where it really looked like we were done. This has been ridiculously fun to watch and it's not like we're playing a bunch of perfect games, guys are just stepping up, pitching has been great, finding a way to win every night,,, wow!!!

GO DBACKS!!!

Too bad we weren't just a little better in July so we could be competing for the division title. Just around 10 days ago we were 20 back. Now we are 13.5 with a series against them coming up. Still too much to overcome in 26 games unfortunately.

During July and half of August, we gave the Rockies, Brewers, Cubs and Cardinals every chance possible to come and take this away from us... fortunately, as we were slumping, those teams were scuffling as well... really the Marlins were the only team that mounted a serious/sustained push...
And now we pulled ourselves out of that slump and are playing at a very high level. Middle relief is still a question mark, however, Sherfy just might be the answer there!
I guess if I have any fear at this point, it's that I wonder if we can somehow carry this amazing level of play into October...

Great series win by the dbacks awesome to see the team clicking on all aspects!

Also anyway the dbacks can avoid having to play a 1 gm break or make the playoffs?

Go dbacks!

We have 25 games left to play. If we were to do a complete 180 and start losing every game, while the Rockies and/or Brewers or Cardinals got hot and went on a crazy season-ending win streak, sure we can miss the playoffs.
But that is extremely unlikely. We are 14 games behind LA in the loss column and so there really is no chance for us to catch them. Which means we are locked into the one game playoff for the right to advance and play LA in a 5 game series.
