It is almost game time on Saturday and it is raining in Flushing. Flushing is right! The tarp is on the field and no one is warming up.

As I used to say before I moved my family from New Jersey to Phoenix forty years ago (on the 31st), how do you know it's weekend in the New York metropolitan area? It's raining!

In the Valley of the Sun, it rains during the day about five times a year. Back east, about five times per week. :pullhair:

Hey, Steve just said we'll be set to go in about 35 minutes. More injuries on the wet grass?

Nick doubles and then 2 easy outs for Owings and Goldy. Sad..

Oooohhhh!

Here we are all thinking the Dbacks suck but that’s not the problem at all. For some reason the baseball gods have conspired to match our poor team up with Cy Young every day.

I remember the day last year, Shaggy, when the announced humidity at Sky Harbor was 1%. 1%! I loved it.

Meanwhile, our best hitting (3rd string) Catcher John Ryan Murphy didn't leave the runner in scoring position with two outs. 1-0 D-backs going to the bottom of the 2nd.

UPDATE: Conforto ties it with a HR.

Corbin has no command. More balls in the dirt then anything else.

John Ryan Murphy with his 2nd and 3rd RBI's with a 2-run dinger. 4-2 D-backs.

Sherfy with a huge bases loaded out. Now it’s up to De la rosa to get Gonzalez out.

I figured out how Goldy got his first HR since April 15th. Playing in thick fog, it was just as fuzzy for the pitcher as it has been all season for Goldy.

'Just like Audrey Hepburn portraying a blind lady in "Wait Until Dark". When thugs were trying to break into her apartment, she went around and made sure all the light switches were in the 'off' position to even the odds.

Sewalds throwing 90 mph fast balls and Avila’s late on every swing.

Every time I see Yoshii doing that stretch behind the mound I think of camping in the woods.

And, at 10:15 New Yawk time, it's raining again, with 2 outs in the top of the 8th.
