Getting back to the #Dbacks starting lineup... Torey Lovullo said he's been thinking about hitting Goldy 2nd for a while now. Likes the idea of grouping best hitters in top 4 spots.

Seriously, now, until Goldy proves otherwise, he has not been among the best hitters. Which is why he should be dropped to 6th or 7th to take the pressure off him. I wish that weren't the case.

The Manager being the Queen of Denial is not going to accomplish anything.

It's good to see the D-backs score some runs. I hope that playing the hapless A's will build some confidence. And break some bad habits.

I've always thought that their Manager Bob Melvin (former Bench Coach and Manager of the D-backs) lacked the strength of personality to be the guy at the top.

In his TV interview with his mentor, Bob Brenly, today, he did not come across especially strong with his "I think"s and "Y'know"s. At least he does not pick pimples on his face when he interviews any more, acting as nervous as a 12 year old.

The A's are not anymore "hapless" than the DBacks. In fact, the record is basically identical and the A's are playing in a better division. And, they have hit about 5x's more home runs, which offsets, to some extent, the overall poor team batting averages.

The A's will probably win this series.
