Yahoo is wierd. It lists us being MST, which we arent. We are Pacific right now.

We are always MST.

Yahoo does manage to get it screwed up sometimes during daylight savings because we don't change like everyone else.

pacific daylight time=mountain standard time.

We are an hour different when they go back to PST.

Ah OK. I am a native, so I dont understand these foreign concepts of "time zones" and "change in seasons". ;)

we are not always MST, we do not have a time zone, or we have our own, whichever way you want to put it. If we were always MST we wouldnt be going by pacific time right now.

I agree with you. We are pst right now until the rest of the country changes time, then we are mst and so on.

Practically speaking, you're right: Arizona switches between Mountain time and Pacific time twice each year.

Technically speaking, you're not right. AZ is always MST. MST means Mountaing STANDARD Time. In April, the rest of the Mountain zone switches to Mountain Daylight Time ("MDT") and the Pacific changes to Pacific Daylight Time.

So the confusion is simple. AZ is always MST.

So 1:00 MST = 2:00 MDT = 1:00 PDT. From April to October, AZ and California have the same time. (though they are never in the same time *zone*).

From October to April, the rest of the Mountain time zone switch back to standard time, the zone that AZ never left. So the afternoon games start at 2:00 pm.

I really like the Pacific time zone (same as AZ's time in the summer). Getting up on Sunday and knowing the football will be on from the time you wake up until 8:00 pm is great. After the time change, football starts late. After growing up in the Eastern time zone and not having any football until 1:00 pm, having this football at 10:00am thing was really cool.

We aren't going by pacific time right now. We are still on Mountain Standard Time.

Just because Pacific Daylight Time is GMT -7, the same as Mountain Standard Time, does not mean Arizona is on Pacific time.

I always tell newbies to AZ we are on Pacific time right now and Mountain time in the winter. Seems easier to comprehend. :)

Wow, three Sunday afternoon games when the Cards are at home. That's a first. This year is going to be special.
