This is good for Arkansas. Broyles should have retired long ago.
Truer words have never been spoken. He has done a lot of good things as AD, i.e. building a basketball program that was NCAA champs in 1993 and lost to UCLA in the tournament championship game in 1994 (Arkansas was the better team but the UCLA HC outcoached Nolan Richardson in that one), and a perrenial NCAA championship team in Track and Field.
However he has meddled in the Football program ever since he retired as HC in 1976 so much so that the word has been out among coaches to beware of taking the Razorback HC job. As a result the Hogs settle for coaches like Houston Nutt and Jack Crowe. Good riddance Frank. The Razorbacks should finish in the the top 20 nearly every year considering their incredible training facilities, state of the art stadium, and a fanatical fan base. The Hogs last won a national championship in football in 1964/1965 and they had to share that one with Alabama.
