The Kansas City Royals, who tried to trade for Tommy Pham at the deadline when he was with the Chicago White Sox, now claim him on waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals, and will have him for the pennant stretch. @katiejwoo on it.

Five years ago today, the Boston Red Sox fired Dave Dombrowski. The Red Sox, 76-67 at the time, were 370-259, with three division titles and a World Series championship in four years under Dombrowski.
