I love Bruce Campbell for what he is, but what kind of career did you expect him to have? He was in a pretty big horror movie franchise and has a couple TV shows, one of which lasted multiple seasons.

But the bottom line is, he can't act. I'm glad Bruce hasn't taken the route of Jai Courtney, probably the worst big-budget movie actor working today.

I thought at the time that Bruce Campbell would have been perfect for lead in The Mummy (Brendan Frasers part)...but I agree with you otherwise.

More as a comedic actor. I never thought he was going to be Liam Neeson. He can sell some pretty silly material, his physical comedy is great and his expressions are priceless.

And I agree with the post above. A silly, stupid big budget action movie like the Mummy would have been perfect for him.

Oh I wouldn't go that far. He was good in Burn Notice. If you want to say he is limited fine but he can act. He is one of those guys that got type casted early in his career IMO.

Typecast as what? He himself makes fun of his skill in his biography--it's why he's such a successful B-performer. He's improved, but not by much. His delivery is just not good. Fun guy to watch--he is definitely a so bad, he's good type of guy, unlike Jai Courtney and Paul Walker before him.

Exactly. There are a bunch of bad actors in Hollywood that couldn't play some of the parts he has played and pull them off. It's hard to break out of genre films if that is all your known for. I think he is pretty open about his own skills but there are so many worse actors in Hollywood that can't act out of paper bag. He does comedy well. That doesn't say bad that says niche. He also had some really good moments in Burn Notice IMO that says he is probably better than he gives himself credit for.

I enjoyed the first episode. It was pretty much everything I expected it to be... which is a good thing.

Curious...thoughts on Season 1?

did you like evil dead 1?
Did you enjoy evil dead 1a?
a fan of evil dead 1b?

I am. Love Ash Vs Evil Dead... Ash is campier than ever, but now with a creepy old guy twist...great laughs, and deadites.
