Quick search, already found one article referencing this. Man, I hope he brings none of this with him. Evidently, this reputation dates back to his time with Denver. So, we may have traded a guy that could have similar traits to Ayton, older and more injury prone. Dear Lord I hope a change of scenery is great for Nurkic. I mean we seemed to get a better version of CP3 for a spell. Hopefully, this is true of Nurkic as well or this could be a worse trade than I thought before I even knew this. I hope not.

"Jusuf Nurkic was no exception when he came to the Blazers in a mid-season trade in 2017. This wasn’t the Nurkic that Portland has come to know and love. The center was struggling after his time in Denver, riddled with the reputation of being discontent, lazy, somewhat of a pouter."

Lol that article references his attitude changing for the better in Portland after having issues in 2017 in Denver. 6 years ago he had issues and was used as an example of a positive leader in 2020. An absolute nothing burger. You are using the negative from an article that clearly indicates he grew out of that stage.

Quote from the article....
In the process, “Nurk Fever” has taken over the Moda Center. The “Bosnian Beast” has become a fan favorite in Portland. His constant sense of humor and love for his teammates coupled with his dominating play have made him popular among the fans. This transformation in production and personality wasn’t about his personal qualities alone. Portland’s culture helped him transition from the player he was to the player he was meant to be

Quote from the article....
How exactly am I only using just the article?? That's negative coming from multiple places dating back to his Denver days and the stuff being said is "similar". You have seen multiple people above post they have read or heard similar things. Portland fans evidently have seen it too. The radio mentioned it multiple times today.

I didn't say this was a big issue. I didn't even say I agree with it. I was only responding to what I heard for the first time today now multiple times and now from multiple people here. I said IF it's true this makes a bad trade look worse. Did you miss the part where I said I hope he brings none of that here and that I hope a change of scenery is good for him? Did you see the part where I said we got for the most part a good CP3 meaning that we can get the same from him?!?!?

Naturally you didn't. Naturally you didn't respond to any of the other mentions either. LOL. Try reading next time instead of cherry picking just to go on the attack once again.
Stupid post. I have been pro-trade Ayton since last season. Unlike you I wasn't pro-dump Ayton. Big difference.

What do you want me to say? You essentially a cherry picked a blurb from an article that said he wasn't highly motivated and happy in 2017 in Denver but he's essentially shown none of that in Portland since. That article was pumping up how he changed and that was 3 years old. That's outdated. That's like Ayton wanted to be here and was motivated because I can find an article of him hyping himself up as the #1 pick for the Suns. He proved he wasn't what he said he was and his feelings long since changed. Sure, he was unhappy in Denver.... Over 6 years ago. That's what you're clinging to with your "Oh man" even when if you read that whole article you'd know his attitude was already remedied. And to back up your claims you're pointing to hear say, nothing concrete or provable. Ok, continue being a skeptic and thinking he's lazy and unmotivated but I'll continue to laugh at that when all your evidence is so flimsy.

Then you go full class and say someone else is making stupid posts? Oh mylanta.

You don't know what cherry picking is evidently and I have to explain it to you. Cherry picking would have been if I focused on just the poster above quoting fans. Cherry picking would have been if I just focused on what another poster also heard on the radio. Cherry picking would have been if I just focused on the sound bites I heard. Cherry picking would have been if I focused on just the article. I shouldn't have to explain to you the difference but here we are.

So, no I "essentially" did none of that while you conveniently left out the rest of what I said. LMAO. Not to mention you didn't attack anybody else with their "flimsy" evidence. Now evidently I have to explain to you what "your claims" means too. I made zero claims. I "essentially" am saying this is new info I had not heard from anywhere until today and I wasn't the only one (see above other posters). I am saying I hope it's not true and even IF it is, I said I hope he brings none of it with him.

You have some serious comprehension issues. So to answer your question? How about you don't respond to my posts if you goal is to single me out and be a tool. If I feel like being a tool I won't single you out and behave the same way.

Bit feisty today, now I'm a tool? Grow up. The other posters who mentioned it didn't seem alarmed and didn't try making it into a bigger deal than you did. Rather than just passing it off as something you heard you decided to research and then posted a ridiculous article about how he's found a home in Portland. Even highlighting a part where he was unhappy before he was there. You deliberately focused on the negative to back up the "unmotivated" claim you heard. Again, I brushed that off as hearsay and conjecture and said as much. Now that I point how you seem to be clinging to this "unmotivated" narrative that I called a nothing burger from the start.

So we disagree and now I'm a tool? Seriously dude, get a grip. You may not like me, that's fine, but this isn't personal to me like it is with you. I'll continue to post how I do and when someone pushes a narrative that isn't backed with any substantial evidence, I and others, have the right to question it. Dont like the trade? Fine. No one said you had to. It's done. To say we traded one lazy head case for another is painting a false narrative though. Either post facts to back it or don't get so bent up when someone disagrees.

No, we can disagree. That isn't the issue. That's multiple times now you have gone out of your way to single me out for the same stuff as others. Then had to either manipulate what I am saying, cherry pick comments while conveniently leaving out the rest of what I said or completely lack the comprehension. Disagreeing isn't being a tool. Now I have to explain to you the difference between disagreeing with someone and doing what you do.

Not shocked. Have a good night.

I have to admit, I read your post the same way. Focusing on the negative to confirm what’s being talking about and ignoring the fact that the article was actually talking about how nurkic turned it around.

That would be completely fair if that was the only thing I brought up. I referenced multiple things and multiple posts by posters. It's no secret that I thought this was a bad trade and yes IF it's true that makes the trade worse IMO. However, that's ALSO why I mentioned my hopes for Nurkic. I am not assuming it's going to be true.

Thanks for this. Seemed really odd to post that and highlight what he did. That's like focusing on the before picture of a weight loss ad and saying the person is unhealthy while disregarding the only reason the before is posted to highlight the transformation and how healthy they are now.

Was afraid he'd take it personally, which he did, but can't handle how people take things.

It was along the lines of how they shut him down for the rest of a season. Also said maybe since he is playing for a contender it will motivate him more.
Ah. Gotcha. I didn't hear that at all. I was listening to Sat sports radio. So, who said it? Did one of the guys say who he heard it from?

oh stop playing the victim. Dude you have been a complete @#$# a couple times now. You got into it with another poster suggesting they had less intelligence than you. The fact you think this has anything to do with a simple disagreement is hilarious. You take it past a disagreement which is what the problem is.

Pretty sure the Suns are serious about winning a championship - just look at all the moves we've made since our billionaire hopefully soon to be saviour has taken over - and one thing about self made billionaires... they tend to be pretty smart and thorough when it comes to new acquisitions and business decisions - what I'm getting at is I'm pretty freakin sure Phoenix did their research on one Jusuf Nurkic - especially with the insane amount of time the trade was on the table - we're talking months - so if Nurkic was some type of disruptive drama queen mr poopy pants - I think the Suns would know - without having to google it - I mean come on

I thought Gambo was high on Nurkic. If Portland shut him down and he wanted to play I can see where there might be friction.

So I heard Jusuf Nurkic, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson were on their way to Phoenix.

I haven't heard anything new about Grayson Allen. Can't help but wonder if he might be headed elsewhere.

I would have been happy if Ayton was traded for a bag of freaking rocks. Good riddance. Nurkic and the rest is just the cherry on top. Ayton has been dead to me for a bit now

I hope this means nothing. Allen was the one part of the trade I liked. If he is getting moved though in a package for something good that might make this trade better for me.
