Crispy v. chewy bacon is close to melted v. liquid butter. There is a "fine line" between crispy/burnt and chewy/undercooked.

Chewy bacon on a burger tends to upset the delicate nature of the bun/burger staying together and not falling apart.

There is a VERY fine line between crispy and chewy bacon...and the most spectacularly cooked bacon walks that line with its eyes closed.

Ryan. but to me, knowing your everyman palate, I take that as a compliment.

Your insight is amazing considering you know nothing about me to pass that judgement

Now youre arguing against the laws of nature, and well that, thats grounds for a quick trip to hell for all eternity.

By the way, Satan eats his bacon chewy, biotch!

you care to explain how the heat and fire in hell keep the bacon chewy? You definitely bit off more than you can chew with this one.

Who would have known that TFF would be so of the hook today?

I was going to post how slow it was in EE today. Thank goodness we have something else to talk about.

Let's bring it full circle, does Rod prefer chewy or crispy bacon?

discuss.

Rod will let the bacon propose the offer of whether it wants to be chewy or crispy first.

Then he will look at the way other bacons are being prepared in the diner.

Then he will stare at the bacon for a week.

Then when he is about to die of starvation, he'll basically do something close to what the bacon wanted in the first place.

Since turkey bacon and soy bacon have no place in this thread, a Bacon thread clearly demonstrates the need to free the Food Forum from "Body and Heath."

And he saves money by using the June 1st cuts (of meat).
