Is a lardon french pancetta or what? We ordered a side of English peas with lardons thinking lardons were wild garlic. Hah!

I won't order anything if I don't know what it is. Especially something from a strange land with a name as mysterious as lardons. Could be the diced anal cavity of a goat for all you know.

Actually, this entire thread gives me a lardon.

A lardon is a 1/4" by 1/4" by 2" apx matchstick of bacon.

And gods gift to breakfast is biscuits and sausage gravy.

Huevos Rancheros also trumps Biscuits and Gravy.

You obviously have never had good biscuits and gravy. The kind made with whole milk, sausage fat and flour with homemade buttermilk biscuits?

Youre getting closer, Mulli, but B and G is the greatest breakfast of all time. Fried egg on top. Tapatio hot sauce.

Man. Theres just no beating it.

If anyone feels like doing it at home, it takes a little time, but aint hard, and Ive got a hell of a recipe!

Now. THAT'S what I'm talking about. Whataburger suprisingly makes a good biscuits & gravy.

I was never a huge fan of huevos.

Fried egg on top? Okay, I can go along with you all on this one. I had a seriously good variation in Oklahoma City or Tulsa.

Welcome to page 1, DCR!

Chorizo and eggs with potato rolled up in a tortilla is my idea of a great breakfast.

Don't forget the mexican blend of cheese and a good salsa!

Did someone say bacon wrapped?

Here's some jalapenos with cream cheese, cheddar, sausage, wrapped in bacon that I smoked for a couple hours. My new favorite thing to cook.
I MUST MAKE THESE!!!

The post that started it all...
If I ever have a heart attack Bacon will be my downfall. I freaking love Bacon. I do have one pet peeve about the type of food I love bacon on....and that's cheeseburgers.

Bacon should be crispy on your bacon cheeseburger too. Fast food joints are notorious for chewy bacon. There just isn't very many places other then restaurants that get that right. I hate chewy bacon on cheeseburgers.

And then it came full circle...
Cheeseburger with crispy bacon no doubt.

But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a schutd.

That's 'cause schutd don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they are offered chewy bacon. Linderbees are known to do that.

Seriously, what the hell do those little containers on Chewy's what can only be described as an I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts style guitar strap over his shoulder?
