To try to put a positive spin on it (if there is one)..

Beanie hasn't been healthy in a year. Even if the turf toe was a 2-3 weeks injury, maybe the thought process was to shut him down, give him 6 weeks to get fully healthy, then ease him back in with 2 weeks of practice and unleash a fully healthy Beanie for the first time in a long time down the stretch... right about the time R-Will could theoretically start hitting a wall after carrying the full load over the next 2 months.

The cards better not draft a Running back any higher then the 5th round. Draft good O-linemen so you can improve the pass game and running game at the same time.

When's the last time a Cardinal's running back had enough carries to "Hit the wall?"

Pretty sure Beanie missed his calling.

As a European soccer player.

I think this will be a priority in the offseason and could lead the Cards to not re-sign LSH. LSH just does not bring much as a RB and is not dynamic enough of a returner.

Hardly, this had nothing to do with LSH's role when he is used as he should be as a change of pace back...this has a lot to do with Well's future with this team in my opinion.

Honestly, did anyone think this wasn't going to happen?

Good, not great player. He's a major injury liability in my mind. Unfortunately after Williams the cupboardis bare.

In reality he missed 3 games in College, and 5 of 53 with the Cards before this injury.

Man, all we need now is a freaky hot tub-related injury to a certain backup QB to complete the THESMEL IR trifecta for the year.

I'd love for us to be in a position to draft Stepfan Taylor in say round 4 but I have a feeling he'll move up.

Everyone thought he was the product of a great OL and a great QB but he's still doing it this season with those guys gone. Just one of those guys who's too small and too slow and gets you 5 YPC.

Jurecki is reporting his sources are saying Beanie had micro fracture surgery on his knee in the offseason instead of a minor procedure. He might have turf toe, but I'm thinking Jureckis report is more why he's on IR & why he hasn't looked right this year.

Oh well...next man up!

Why do I have the feeling that when Beanie returns from his "turf toe" a reporter is going to notice a new incision mark on him?

Wow is it me or are the Cards just doomed with guys who end up needing that surgery?

Makes sense his knee recovery clearly took longer than we were led to expect.

Hope he makes it back but I think unless he has a strong finish to the year he's not going to be back next year.

Oh yeah sure, if there's a total steal sitting there when we're on the clock, take 'em if he's BPA. The thing is with RB's is its the most commonly over-reached position in the draft besides QB. RB's just simply aren't as valuable as they were in the past; i.e. the trent richardson debate last draft.

If what you're saying is true about that Taylor guy then I would be happy to see the Cards take him in the mid to late 4th round

It's not just us Russ, micro fracture surgery on knees have ruined lots of football players careers. :bang:
