I have no doubt that Beanie will go the way of our other recent 1st round bust, The Leenart... Once this season ends on Sunday, we will most likely never see Beanie in a starting role again.

Eerily similar in their proclivity to get hurt and not produce. Big difference: Whis actually selected Beanie and he inherited Leenart. And Beanie actually had a couple of decent games as a Cardinal.

As did Matty... Both had first round talent and UDFA heart, soul and brains...

Yet, if you're a pro bowl safety that is an infidel and cheats on his wife while sulking on the sidelines, you're a great guy, Mr. Cardinal.

Infidel? WTF? ANd Im kind of impressed he was able to cheat on his wife while sulking on the sidelines. I'm not very attractive when I sulk.

I think it makes perfect sense to say he's auditioning for a team he's been on for 4 years. Every player does that in a contract year. They audition for every team. He clarified that he's auditioning for every team but ours... that shows his lack of desire to be here. AW had his conference right after celebrating achieving 25/25. Crying. He's expressed his desire the be a Cardinal through his final day MANY times. Even before Fitz, and Warner, and the playoff runs.

AW tore his bicep. And it's still torn this year as well. He never had it fixed. I agree with your sentiment though. AW has been an important role in this defense and the mentality of this team for years and years. He was the ONLY player with any sort of Cardinal loyalty for quite a while. I sincerely hope the Cardinals show him that kind of loyalty in return

More likely it shows he's accepted the fact that the Cardinals have a lack of desire for him to be here.

I think everyone can agree that Wells has underperformed as a Cardinal and that he will wither need to take a pay cut or he will be playing for another team next year. At his best, Wells has shown he can be an effective RB. At his worst, which has also been the most often, he is a big RB who doesn't run with much balance or power. He struggles to stay on the field which causes teams to invest more money into a second back who is almost certain to play half of a season. In the end, Wells actual production for the Cardinals is very replaceable though I think the team wants more out of the position which is why he ends up heading out the door.

Is it? Who replaced Wells 1047 yards and 10 TDs from 2011 while he was out this season? Maybe for a real NFL franchise but not for the replace 'em with a worse guy Cardinals. LSH, RWilliams and Powell combined have 686 yards and 4 TDs. LSH has 358. He needs 76 yards Saturday to keep from supplanting Leland McElroy with the fewest rushing yards by the teams' leading rusher since Charley Trippi in 1952.

Maybe Ryan Williams can hit a daily double and not only replace Wells production but also break the half decade long string of 2nd round RB failures.

23 of 51 games started in 4 years. 625 rushes for 2471 yards and 24 touchdowns over those same 4 years averaging 156.25 carries per year for 617.75 yards and 6 touchdowns. His only redeeming stat is his career per carry average of 4.0 yards per carry. Oh yeah, 10 fumbles and 5 lost over that time span.

Totally replaceable stats.

Not by the Cardinals. The Cards haven't had a decent RB since the 1980's. The guys who have come in when Beanie was out this year sure didn't. Doesn't matter though because they never run the football. 25th,32nd,32nd,32nd,28th,30th in rushing attempts with CKW as HC.

A first round draft pick who averaged 156 carries per year. :bang:

If Wells is made of glass, Williams is made of paper mache. Both are as fragile as a robin's egg.
