Sorry guys but I disagree. Hightower is not starting material unless it is 3rd and short. He's like a poor man's Marion Barber and MB3 is not a starter either. I think Wells and Hightower will be a good combo though. Glen Coffee already look better than Hightower to be honest.

Good for him. When he breaks some tackles and makes a huge play to score the game winning TD in the NFC Championship game then you can talk about him. At least let him get a carry in a real NFL game. But,according to you, the whole SF team looks great.Did you ever think it's because they are playing against each other. I'm sure when they get back to playing real meaningful NFL teams that they'll resemble their misreable 4-12 selves.

So hard for me to understand how such a prolific passing team can be so easy to stop on the ground.

I think you nailed it. An elusive or at least an above average RB should break some long runs even without a lot of help from the OL. The Cardinals receivers should preoccupy a significant amount of defensive focus from the run.

That is something that bugged me all last season.

Was our offensive line really that bad? Hopefully having 20 games together in 2008 will make a difference this season.

On the other hand how in the world did they manage to pass so well with other teams so easily handling our rushing attack?

I really like Hightower, as a short yardage back and could play for short spurts at the starting position and maybe has the endurance now to be a full time starter but I will go out on a limb which I really shouldn't even call that when I say Beanie Wells is a special back and for some reason the draft people dropped him down in favor (injuries? don't buy it with the truth of his time on the field at Ohio St. with a subpar OL and a three hundred pound guy falling on his ankle in practice which would have injured anyone). I saw Wells play in college and there is no reason why he cannot be a starting hb for the Cards or a majority of other teams

saw it on 12 news. Dosent look too bad unless it swells up

Hobbling around on it and not able to get out in the flat for Warners outlet doesnt sound good. Especially when he was supposed to only be out approx 1 week and was gone 17 days till his first real practice. Now he is still hurt.

What was most interesting on that blog was how it looks that LSH has passed Wright on the depth chart!

My fear is we will be making this statement all season "WHEN Beanie gets in there"

Highsmith, Robinson, McFadden, Wells, Breaston, ugh! Our injuries are really starting to become a concern. We have to pray that these are the niggling little injuries that wouldn't cause much concern during the regular season.
