I have been thinking that the Suns descided not to plzy googs the later part of the season so he "MIGHT" get upset and opt out of his contract...?

As far as I know he has one year left but does have an opt out...

Hey I can allways hope!

Keep hoping my friend! Googs is going to be a multi-million dollar splinter on the bench next year.

I disagree

Googs will be the most wanted Sun next season.

Kobe is opting out after next season...Googs has the kind of Contract Kobe is going to demand. Many GMs will be trying to send good players to the Suns for Googs and his cap space.

I would trade Googs/JJ/Voskul(If signed) and 2 1st rounds for Kobe. I wanted the Suns to draft him when was came out that year.

That may be, but many more GMs will be trying to send the Suns lousy players. Jerome Williams, anyone?

I doubt Gugliotta will be traded. The Suns already have enough long-term contract commitments. Gugliotta's salary next year is bad enough; extending that financial drain into the future would be a big mistake. That's just my opinion, but my hunch is that it is the Colangelos' also.

I would trade Googs/JJ/Voskul(If signed) and 2 1st rounds for Kobe.

LOL

You are out of your F'n mind. Kobe Bryant is not worth 3 players and 2 number 1's. Not in your wettest dreams.

Googs - Worthless
Voskuhl - Hustles. But easily replaceable
JJ - We'd be getting Kobe to replace him. (The best player in the league)
Two First Rounders -

Marbury
Bryant
Marion
Amare
Tsakalidis

...who needs a first rounder when you will win the championship for those two years?

I would do that trade in a second, and then do it again. But it would NEVER happen.

No, I think you are out of your mind. Kobe Bryant is absolutely worth those players and what would amount to 2 late 1st-round draft picks. He's worth a hell of a lot more than that. I love Shawn Marion, but I would trade him, Tom Gugliotta, Jake Voskuhl, and the draft picks for Kobe Bryant. That is assuming, of course, he would sign an extension. I don't think this would ever happen in a million years. I don't even think it works under the salary cap, but hypothetically I would definitely do it.

I seriously doubt the Suns will trade Tom Gugliotta unless they get something in return that is just too good to pass up. They need the salary cap relief his expiring contract will provide because they will be over $10 million over the luxury tax.

Specifically

I was thinking of Memphis...

Lorenzen Wright would look good in a Suns uniform.

yup it would definitely be worth it for Kobe. Why are people so big on draft picks?! We've been extremely lucky to get the players we've gotten from the draft but that doesn't happen that often. Kobe would easily be worth all those players and pics and I bet you every GM would agree.

The #1 biggest problem in trading Googs is the trade kicker.

In my opinion, the biggest problem in trading Gugliotta is that he has negative value. "Cap room" or no, teams don't give up postive value in exchange for negative value. There's no way the Suns would get anything attractive in a deal, so it will be better for them to just get the contract over with.

We could use a rebounding shot blocking BEN WALLACE... put him next to Amare and Marion and I dont think the other team would get one rebound...

As a Suns fan I agree but some heads would roll in Detroit if such a trade were made. Last year we traded for the wrong Wallace

Don't be silly. Jermaine O'Neal is a free agent.

But Gugliotta for Shaq, now that's something to consider.
